Hi, we are going through getting bids for windows. 18 total in our house. 5 double hung approximately 36x62 , 1 36x36, 1 large picture window with 2 casement about 62 tall, a standard size sliding patio door. An awning window 36x36, an awning 18x30 tha...

I have several bids for windows. 11500 ,14800,16800,18900, and 42900. We like the windows from Arc Contracting at 16800. They are made by ENPS Premium windows??? Also like the Kensington windows from Mad City, they called them an "eco... something " sorry. On the Kensington website they appear to be the Quantum 2 windows. But there bid was outrageous. Have you heard of the other brand and I don't see an eco line of Kensington? We have 18 windows including 1 patio door, 4 16x32 standard basement, 5 double hung, 1 living room picture window with 2 casement, 2 sliding,1 awning replacing 2 casement and 1 awning replacing an octagonal picture. We are in central Wisconsin. Mad City Windows Reviews

Steve, Kensington makes a great vinyl window. I'm not really sure which of your bids goes with which company so it's hard for me to say too much. The Kensington Quantum 2 is an excellent window-- if you received a bid from one of their reps, they should have been much clearer on what window series they were selling you.

I've never heard of ENPS windows. If their triple pane windows achieve a .19 U-value and and an air infiltration rating of .01, then I'm very impressed. However, it doesn't make sense that I've never heard of them. I did a search on them on several of the main window forums and found nothing as well. I also searched them on the http://search.nfrc.org/ -- the National Fenestration website that lists roughly 400 manufacturers in the U.S. Nothing. It's very possible they are listed under another corporate name, but I couldn't find them.
