Simonton 5050 Windows Reviews

Explore Simonton 5050 Windows reviews from our editors and homeowners who have used this entry level vinyl window in the past.

Series Information:The Simonton 5050 is the same window as the Simonton Prism Bronze. The 5050 has been phased out in many sections of the country, although it certainly crops up now and again. Simonton now makes the Asure model. The Reflections 5050 window is an entry level vinyl window that is pretty bare bones in terms of features and options. It's not a bad window for homeowners who are on a tight budget.

The Reflections 5050 uses a narrow profile, which allows more glass area, but sacrifices some energy efficiency and performance. The 5050 window is not the vinyl window I would recommend for most consumers, I'd prefer they get the Simonton Impressions 9800 series or the higher end Reflections 5300 series. Of course, these windows are also going to be more expensive than the Simonton 5050 window.

Bottom Line: The 5050 series is a decent entry level vinyl window that makes sense in my opinion for more budget minded consumers who don't necessarily see themselves in their home for longer than 15 years.

Simonton 5050 Windows Reviews

I'm looking to replace 19 windows, so far I have quotes for the Wincore 7700 series at $15,000, also the Simonton 5050 series at $12,00. Could Please tell me some windows to look into.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Harry, decent price on the Wincore 7700 series - a good window. The Simonton 5050 is more of an entry level window, but still a decent price based on what I've been seeing lately. Here are my recommendations for more options. Let me know if you have any additional questions! (Wincore Windows Reviews)

Simonton 5050 vs Reliabilit 3201

I've been quoted on a simonton 5050 and a Reliabilit 3201. Can you tell me which is the better window? I live in the south eastern NC region and not looking for anything expensive but something midrange and reasonably priced.

[Site Editor's Response]

Stephanie, I'm not quite sure which window I would say is better between these two. They are both more of an entry level vinyl window, although both companies have a pretty solid reputation for quality and durability. I'm going to put them on par with one another - neither one is fantastic, but they are both at the top of my list for an entry level vinyl window. (Check out my list for mid range vinyl windows, definitely a step above the two selections you mentioned.)

So let's turn out attention to the installation side of things. How do the installers compare with one another. Reputation? Reviews? Labor warranty? Professionalism? You gut feeling? This is the criteria I would use to pick the better installer.
