Tafco Windows Review

Do you have any information or opinions about Tafco windows? I’m in Houston, TX. This brand is sold at Home Depot.

Thank you.

Virginia, I believe Tafco is a low end brand that the big box stores sell. If you are going to buy from HD, I would stick with their "premium" brands if you want long term value. You are probably better off finding a local Simonton, Milgard, Don Young, or NT window dealer for your project.

HD's subcontractors that do the installs can be pretty hit or miss and this can be a recipe for frustration down the road. A well reputed dealer from one of the four companies above gives you a much better chance of no/less hassle for not that much more.

Thank you, just checking out other options. I did get an estimate for Milgard Trinsic, $6023 for 12 single hung which is just a little more than a bid from WW.

The Milgard Trinsic is a pretty darn good mid range vinyl window. That’s a nice, reasonable price for the window as well. The Milgard Trinsic is a much better window than what Window World sells.
