Amcraft Estates Original Window Prices

I have been reading many of the comments on your website and would love to get your opinion on what window you would recommend. We have two bids, one on the NT Executive and the other on the Amcraft Estates Original. We were told that the Amcraft model is really just the Simonton Perfexion Silver. We have 16 double hung windows and both the bids came in at around $8800. Thanks in advance for your time.

Jeremy, between the Amcraft Estates Original and NT Executive, I'd have to give the nod to the NT Executive. Not by a ton, but I think it's the better window. I actually did not know that the Amcraft Estates Original was the Norandex Perfexion Silver (now owned by Simonton). Thanks for that information!

AmCraft vs. CWS Window Bid

I have a fairly complicated set of windows and installation, 18 windows in all. Got a bid from CWS for $22,640, although after some fancy number crunching it went down to $19,936. The same bid from PGT was $21,345. I got a final bid from AmCraft and that came in at $16,490.

Meredith, I think the CWS and PGT quotes are worth the extra money over the AmCraft. I would see which of their windows you like the look of and then I would use the lower bids to see how low you can get the CWS or PGT dealer to go. Once you've reached this, you'll know it because they won't move any lower, then you sign on the dotted line.

Amcraft Quote vs. Wallside Windows And Norandex

I have received 2 quotes for replacement windows. One contractor sells Amcraft Grand Estates Original, a patio door at $1,465 and the rest slider windows low e3 argon filled, for $4,905 -- total of $6,370. Another contractor offered us a Wallside windows cost quote and it was $300 lower than Amcraft quote.
