Armaclad Windows Reviews
I have an appointment for measurements to get an estimate on Armaclad's Encore Series. The Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ but I haven't talked to anyone who's bought from them before. They also have two different systems, a Constant Force and a Block and Tackle. The installer I chose prefers the Constant Force, but I didn't understand the difference.

Encore is Armaclad's better line of windows. They have reinforced frames, and with the insulated glass option they are great for colder climates. They've been here in the USA since 1874, and I like dealing with an established company that has been around a while.

I'm not an Armaclad fan. The sill design causes rain to drain to the inside of the extrusion. Water and dirt and bugs collect there, leading to mold growth. I prefer a sloped sill that directs the water away from the window frame.
