KBE 70mm Windows

Hello Dane, last year I contacted you for some advice/information on replacement windows. I did not purchase any yet and this year started getting quotes again.

I met a contractor who is offering German made windows. The cost is less than any of the quotes I’ve received in the past. But the quality seems to be better than anything I’ve seen.

I’ve attached the estimate. Just hoping to get your opinion.

Barbara, generally European vinyl windows are much thicker than US windows, but much more energy efficient. From the little I know, this window would perform very well -- you should ask what the air infiltration rate is on these windows. Anything .08 or lower is considered good.

Assuming that this window has an AI of .08 or lower, and the contractor has a quality reputation, I would say go for it.
