Crystal Window Pricing

Explore Crystal windows prices and consumer cost quotes on many of the company's most popular replacement windows and patio doors. Crystal Windows has manufacturing plants in Riverside, California, as well as the states of New York, Pennsylvania, and Illinois. While the company sell to mostly builders and developers, they do sell and market the Vista vinyl window for the residential market.

My Take: Are Crystal windows any good? If you are flipping a home or need budget windows for a rental, then this might make sense. However, there are much better window options out there that will increase your overall return on investment over time.

Editor's Crystal Window Pricing Analysis

In the commercial space, Crystal Window And Door Systems sells their products to builders, who use their heavy and light aluminum windows and doors. Many of these projects are large, planned communities. In the residential space, the company sells to the public through a network of dealers (companies who sell and install several different brand windows and doors to homeowners). They offer the Vista, Buena Vista, and Valencia vinyl window series. In general, Crystal windows are sold at a lower end price point and are made to be a budget vinyl options for homeowners.

A Vista vinyl window with installation should run somewhere in the $250 to $400 range fully installed. This assumes a $75 to $150 installation cost and a $125 to $250 window cost. Larger windows, more complex configurations, or upgrades etc. will impact the overall per window cost of Crystal windows.

Replacement Windows Bids

I'd like to get your professional opinion on our replacement windows bids. The bids are a bit confusing though because they are for different number of windows (its a long story).

Smart Window Company : Crystal Vista Plus Door / Smart Valencia Windows : 1 Sliding Door And 14 Windows : $13.1K
Frontier Windows And Doors : Trinsic Milgard : 1 Sliding Door And 14 Windows : $14.4K
Lion Windows : Trinsic Milgard : 1 Sliding Door And 17 Windows : $18.6K
Crystal
Window World : Simonton 5500 Windows And Door : 1 Sliding Door And 17 Windows : $19.3K

Laurie - Homeowner - from 2025

[Site Editor's Answer]

Laurie, the Frontier Windows And Doors price quote makes the most sense to me, followed by the Lion Windows option. Mainly because they both use the Milgard Trinsic window, which I like quite a bit. However, you are correct that it is difficult to make judgements based on varying numbers of windows and doors. However, I do think that either one of these opens is probably your best call.

Southern California Window Options

Hey Dane, we are in Southern California and would love to get a look at your special list for good and great windows as well as those to avoid. So far, the brands that I've unearthed here in So Cal include Anytime Windows), Crystal Pacific, United Windows, Anlin, Milgard, and Window World.

I was hoping you might share your incites on these various options as I am definitely a newbie when it comes to the world of windows. Thanks in advance.

Patrick - Homeowner - from 2025

[Site Editor's Answer]

Patrick, the windows I would recommend on the west coast are Anlin, Milgard, Amerimax, and ProVia (if you can find them). The others I might say are just okay, but not great. Stick to the best if you are planning on staying in your home long term, but if you are just passing through, then that does open up a world of possibilities as you can get away with a lot more. I will send you my list.

Los Angeles Replacement Window Options

Dane, we live in the L.A. metro market and and haven’t been able to find all that many of the brands you mention as high quality vinyl windows besides Anlin. However, we have found Milgard and Crystal, but these brands don't seem to have the same "place in your heart" like Anlin. American Vision windows gave us a bid of $4.8K on 2 retrofit double hungs and 1 full frame window single hung window. Fair or not?

Joe - Homeowner - from 2024

[Site Editor's Answer]

Joe, I think the American Vision windows quote sounds high to me. So, I do like Milgard, but I'm just so-so on Crystal. I would suggest getting another few bids from local Anlin dealers, even on their Mar Vista which should mean a different dealer who serves Los Angeles.

Replacement Windows Prices

Hi Dane, we have 53 windows to replace, most of which are casements (45 of them). Also, 27 of these will need grids and 6 require interior color upgrades to match our color scheme. All the rest are simply beige on the outside and white. We have a number of window price quotes and would love a little direction from you on what you would do in our shoes. Thanks!

Crystal Windows Prices 200 Series: $21K
Simonton 5500 Pricing: $39K
Window Nations Cost Soft Lite Imperial LS: $45.9K
Window Nations Vytex Potomac HP: $51.2K
Okna 500 Pricing: $55K
Zen Lotus Window Cost: $64.3K

Jack - Homeowner - from 2018

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jack, good for you for collecting so many bids on your project. Great first step. First, I would toss the Crystal Windows quote as it is a total outlier and a pretty poor quality window when compared with the other options on the board. Next, I would ask you how long you plan to stay in the home. If the answer is forever or quite a long time, then I would suggest the Soft-Lite Imperial LS as the best value here (by a lot to be honest).

However, if your time line is less then say 12 years, then maybe the Simonton 5500 series is the better option. But that only saves you $6K and honestly the Imperial LS is probably tha answer for all scenarios. This option is going to provide you with the best window ROI of anything on that board.

Jersey Price Quotes

Dane, my wife and I are replacing 17 windows in total and I have the following price quotes that we've been collecting over the past three months. It has been a process believe me! So, is there any way I could get an opinion on what we've got? Lots of different warranty terms -- how important are these?

American Windows Plus Crystal 200 Series: $10.8K
NY Green Top Crystal 200 Series: $14.8K (with rebate from the NYSERDA Comfort Homes program)
Simplex Ideal UltraTite Series: $11.5K
Major Homes Okna 800 Deluxe: $12.9K
Power Home Remodeling Pella Symphony Series: $16K
Renewal By Andersen Fibrex: $30K (reduced from $45K)

Jack - Homeowner - from 2022

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jack, the Renewal By Andersen cost quote is simply too high. The Crystal 200 series is probably not the window you want to use for long term home value. For me, the two windows here are the Ideal UltraTite windows and the Okna 800 Deluxe. The Okna option is the better one if you can afford the $1.5K increase in cost. However, I would make the decision based on the company doing the installation -- this will have the bigger impact than any other factor.

Warranties are tricky business and I personally don't put a ton of stock in them. Having said that, both Ideal and Okna Windows stand behind their work and you shouldn't have any warranty issues with these companies. Some of the others on your list might not be the same story.

Crystal Windows Prices vs Marvin Integrity

We have six windows, approximately 48" x 77" inches each. A local renovation contractor is doing all the work, including the labor installation. Crystal estimated $1700 for all 6 windows. Does this seem right?

Marilyn - Homeowner - from 2017

[Site Editor's Answer]

Marilyn, this seems about right for just the windows from Crystal. Generally, these are considered relatively low quality builder grade windows that don't cost a whole lot of money generally speaking. While I do love the price tag, I would still suggest that you continue to look for additional window bids if you do plan to stay in your home for some years to come. There are probably better windows out there that might run $100 more per window, but they would last a lot longer. I'll send you my list.
