Our Verdict: Lindsay makes some good windows and patio doors. They are often well priced for the value (I certainly can't say this for all companies). Definitely worth a price quote.

Lindsay Windows Cost vs Andersen vs Marvin

Project Type: 5 Large Double Hung Replacement Windows
Location: Not Provided
Data Source: 2026 Homeowner Quote Comparison

Lindsay Pinnacle vs Andersen, Sunrise, And Marvin Quote Comparison
Window Series Total Quote Installed Average Installed Cost Editor Takeaway
Advanced Window Corp $8,300 Approximately $1,660 per window installed Reasonable bid, but less established than Lindsay
Lindsay Pinnacle $8,000 Approximately $1,600 per window installed Best overall value and editor’s preferred option
Andersen 100 Series $11,500 Approximately $2,300 per window installed Quality product, but the premium is harder to justify here
Sunrise Restorations V5500 $14,900 Approximately $2,980 per window installed Very good window, but expensive for this 5-window project
Marvin Essentials $16,500 Approximately $3,300 per window installed Highest bid and likely overkill unless fiberglass is the priority

"Dane, we could use your take on a few window quotes. We’re replacing five large double hungs and pricing has honestly been all over the board."

"So far, Advanced Window Corp came in around $8,300 and the Lindsay Pinnacle quote was $8,000. Those both seemed fairly reasonable to us."

"Then the Andersen 100 series came back at roughly $11.5K, Sunrise Restorations V5500 was $14,900, and the Marvin Essentials was $16.5K."

"At the moment, we’re leaning toward the Lindsay Pinnacle option because it seems like the best balance of price and quality, but we’d love to hear your thoughts before we pull the trigger."

Editor's Advice:

Jen, I agree with your assessment on the reasonable bids versus the considerably more expensive options. Personally, I would focus on the two lower-priced quotes here.

My first pick would probably be the Lindsay Pinnacle. It’s a solid upper mid-range vinyl window and, at that price point, probably represents the best overall value of the group.

I would give the edge to Lindsay over Advanced Window Corp simply because Lindsay is the more established manufacturer with a longer track record in the industry.

Generally speaking, when all things are fairly equal, I tend to lean toward the more established brand because it usually works out better long term from both a service and support standpoint.

Healthy Series Bow Window Cost

Project Type: 5-Lite Bow Window Replacement
Location: Not Provided
Data Source: 2024 Homeowner Quote Comparison

5-Lite Bow Window Quote Comparison
Window Series Total Quote Installed Editor Takeaway
Sunrise V4500 $11,600 Good window, but still $3,800 more than the Lindsay quote
Sunrise Restorations Series $13,600 Excellent product, but hard to justify the added cost here
Sunrise Restorations AR90 Triple Pane $14,600 Most premium option, but very expensive for one bow window project
Lindsay Healthy Series $7,800 Lowest quote and strongest overall value
Price Difference $3,800 to $6,800 more for Sunrise Savings make the Lindsay bid difficult to ignore

"Dane, I'm getting a bow window - some of the companies called it a 5 lite window. I have a number of bids, here they are!"

"Sunrise V4500 - $11.6K"

"Sunrise Restorations Series - $13.6K"

"Sunrise Restorations (AR90 Triple Pane) - $14.6K"

"Lindsay Healthy - $7.8K"

Sue - Homeowner - from 2024

Editor's Advice:

Sue, bow windows are definitely expensive projects, but the Lindsay Healthy quote stands out here as the obvious value play in my opinion.

The Sunrise products are excellent windows, especially the Restorations series, but I’m not sure the additional $5K to $7K is really justified for this particular project.

Personally, unless there is a major difference in installation quality or warranty coverage, I would probably lean toward the Lindsay Healthy option and save the money.

That Sunrise AR90 triple pane setup is certainly impressive, but at nearly $15K for a single bow window project, that’s getting into very premium territory.

Lindsay Pinnacle Pricing

Replacing 1 picture window, 6 double-hungs, 1 combo picture/fixed pane and 3 twin double-hungs. Two bids.

First Bid: Lindsay Pinnacle: $13,400
Second Bid: Pella 250 Windows: $13,200

Julie - Homeowner - from 2019

[Site Editor's Answer]

Julie, I'm not sure I like either of those bids. Seems expensive for what you are getting, although the twin double hungs are an expensive configuration. I like the Pinnacle option over the Pella 205. but I would collect two more bids if this were my project just to make sure that the bids are reasonable.

Nancy, I'd have to say the ProVia Endure would be my call over the Lindsay Pinnacle series.

Lindsay Window Prices vs. Pella

I swear this is worse than buying a car. We've actually gotten a few quotes, including $13,900 from Home Depot for Simonton and $10,900 for Alside Sheffield. For Home Depot were were worried about the install, and we weren't thrilled with Alside although that contractor had a good reputation for installs.

The place that carries the Lindsay and Pella windows seemed to be a combination of the two. We liked the Lindsay windows (we are on a budget, as you can tell), and the contractor also has a good rep for service and is able to do interior framing for us (not included in the $13,400). We had an in-store quote of $10,300 from a Sunrise dealer for pocket installation, and their warranty for work is only two years. We have yet another contractor coming out Thursday.

I am tired of this process, but I do appreciate your website. It has helped a lot!

Lindsay Windows Prices

My final quote was for Lindsay Lexington brand window. All triple pane windows, (except the largest picture window double pane), triple glazed LoE 366, Argon filled and either the Air Leakage or U-factor of 0.17. The quoted price is $17,200. This is for 15 Double Hung and 2 Picture Windows.

Lindsay Pinnacle Windows Costs

Here is the dilemma, upstairs windows. All double hung aluminum wrapped with Larson storm windows. We have energy saver inserts on the inside (very cool, see their website) first year with them and they did help the frost on the inside sash. Since we moved in 32 years ago all the second story windows in the winter are wet and when really cold, thick with frost. We discovered the 2 north side edges are rotted under the wrap. We have had 2 quotes from 2 companies so far:

First company came in with inserts, said it's better to leave the frame intact repair what is rotted and replace with inserts, they quoted for 9 double hung. Both vinyl with added cost of 85.00 per hour to replace rotting.

Lindsay Pinnacle $9,600

Unlimited $7,900

Tom and Michele - Homeowner - from 2017

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tom and Michele, it sounds to me like your upstairs windows need to be replaced due to normal damage and rot to the frames over 30 years. If it were me, I wouldn't go with inserts, I'd do full replacements and make sure that any rot or damage was properly handled and replaced during the replacement project.

I would avoid wood windows -- you're going to have the same issues 10 years down the road with wood, which typically only carry a 10 to 15 year warranty anyway (there is a reason the warranty on a wood window is not as strong as vinyl). Wood is an organic material that expands and contracts with the extreme shifts in temperature that are going to occur in Minnesota in the winter. Other materials do as well, but not nearly as much as wood. Check out our article on vinyl windows vs wood for a deeper drill down on the subject.
