Boral Windows WebsiteI did unearth this press release from 2021 in which Westlake Chemical Corporation (a publicly traded company) announced that it has acquired Boral Limited (parent company of Boral Industries), which sold vinyl siding, trim, shutters, roofing, decorative stone and replacement windows. The deal was estimated to be worth $2.15 billion. Window DamagedMy boral window was damaged during shipping and I can’t find a replacement glass. Can you help me? Thanks I’d need a price.
[Site Editor's Answer]Stacy, what did the company that shipped it say? Who was supposed to install the windows? Where are you located? If you can answer these questions, I'm pretty sure we can get down to the bottom of this problem. But if it was broken during shipping, then they certainly should be on the hook for the cost to replace the window.
Window Replacement Repair QuestionWe bought Boral windows out of Houston seven years ago and several now have to be repaired (we can't even open them because of rust issues). Currently, we are getting the runaround from the distributor, who is saying that he won't sell to us because we are not a contractor. So, is there any solution for this?
[Site Editor's Answer]Rob, Boral windows is no longer in business. Unfortunately, you would probably be hard pressed to find an adequate repair option through anyone who still sells them. My suggestion would be to hire someone locally who repairs windows. In addition, you find try our free window repair company selector and perhaps they have someone in your area that can help out. Finally, two additional sources that come to mind might be Yelp or Angi's List. The best window parts store online is swisco.com - you may want to check them out as well.
