Newpro Windows Warranty
The company's website is pretty cagey about their warranty terms. They state that they cover all aspects of the process - both the labor cost of replacing the windows and the windows themselves (if manufacturing defects occur). However, the company doesn't list any warranty timelines in terms of how long the warranty applies to the mainframe, sash, IGU, hardware, components, exterior finish colors, etc. I would love to know these details as they would help me better assess the overall quality of their warranty.
What They Sell
Newpro manufactures and sells three window series, including the EcoMAX, SuperMAX, and the UltraMAX windows. I believe the company's manufacturing plant is located in Bellingham, MA. Unfortunately, I can't REALLY tell the quality of their replacement windows. I wish they would post some performance data - that would certainly help me gauge the overall quality of their products. In addition, I do find it odd that the company is not listed on the nfrc.org website, which does include performance data on close to 800 U.S. manufacturers.
According to the company's website, the EcoMAX uses a HeatSeal spacer and quality glass for an energy efficient window. The SuperMAX uses the same frame as the EcoMAX, but includes several material upgrades (unclear what upgrades). The UltraMAX is the company's premium window series. This is about the extent of the descriptions of their windows on their own site.

Window World vs Newpro
A friend of mine recently had Vision windows installed by WW. What is the actual product he received? There was a problem with the installation, and Window World had to come back to remediate the problem. Newpro. What is your opinion on their products?

Brian, I've never heard of Vision windows. American Vision, yes -- Vision windows, no. Window World is probably not a good bet for most homeowners. I know little to nothing about Newpro. Sorry about that.

Apparently, the current windows are not Pella but a brand I’ve never heard of called Newpro. Any info is welcome. Then may be able to repair the glass and sash cords for $175 per window not counting labor. The windows are from 1997. I’m wondering if it will be worth it to repair them. Thanks again.

Naomi, I really don't know anything about New Pro. I did a search for "newpro windows reviews" and the reviews/results were anywhere from 2.5 stars out of 5 to 4.5 out of 5. Kind of all over the board. I'm assuming the window is an average vinyl window.
Can you replace the parts...probably. I would at least get the estimated labor cost because you might be looking at $300 per window to repair them. Then the question becomes if I paid $600 a window for brand new windows, would that be worth it. Tricky question...

Sales Tactics
I honestly don't know if Newpro makes decent windows or not. All I can say is that the sales pitch is so horrible I knew long before it was over that I would never buy from them, ever. It takes hours, and he started with a really high price and kept dropping it little by little trying to make us sign.
I think he called his manager ten or twelve times to "get a special deal" like this isn't the way they always play the game. When we finally got him to leave, it still wasn't over. We got phone calls for months, offering discounts for all kinds of things and asking if they could put a sign in our yard. Just stay away.
