Andersen 400 Series Prices

The Andersen 400 Series Pricesrange from $700 to $900 installed on a normal size slider or double hung model. The 400 Series is considered a very good quality wood clad window that, like the 200 Series, is available in either the Tilt Turn or the Woodwright. The Woodwright seems to be the better alternative according to most industry experts.

The Woodwright differs from the Tilt Turn with a better finish to the fibrex exterior and a better sash reinforcement. The 400 is a step up from the 200 Series, with more customization available in terms of color, materials and sizing. It is comparable to the Marvin Ultimate window, another top end wood clad window that gets high praise from many installers and industry experts.

Andersen Windows 400 Series Price

Dane, would you say that the 400 series wood window is a good buy? It seems expensive at $1400 a window but based on your calculator it seems like this is about what you’re saying this cost. We have a pretty simple job so I can’t figure out if this is a good option or whether I should stick with vinyl windows. You’re the best!

[Site Editor's Answer]

Evan, the Anderson 400 wood clad window series is a really good window. $1400 for installation is a very solid price. I think I would caution that you’re gonna need to make sure that the company doing the work has a good reviews, but assuming they do, I think this is a great option.

Now when we’re talking about vinyl windows, first wood, there are some important considerations to take into account. Wood window warranties are often 20 to 25 years, and there is a very significant reason for this. Most wood clad manufactures assume this is how long their product will last. Vinyl windows carry a limited lifetime warranty, and this is because they assume this is how long their products will last.
