Paradigm 8300 vs. Okna 700 Series
Thanks for getting back to me so fast. Here are the numbers I have.
Okna 700 Series quoted at $750 a window for all inclusive total of $11,250.
Paradigm 8300 quoted at $12,175
Wincore 7700 quoted at $13,375
Just got this quote today
Ideal majestic window - energy green glass quoted at $12,400 but with the possibility of matching okna price.

So the company that gave me the quote for the majestic, the owner just called and offered price of $10,500.

Stefani, I would say you have two pretty awesome deals here. The Okna 700 for $11,250 would have been my call until the Majestic came in at $10,500. I think I would compare the companies and see which one gets the best reviews. So google "company name reviews" and see how they fare on the different review sites. This would be the decider for me.

Replacing 18 double hung windows. Was quoted $20700 for paradigm series 8 windows. Is this a fair quote ?

Probably too expensive, but hard to say with total certainty. I'd get more bids, which will tell you if the Paradigm windows cost quote is too much or is fair market value.

Paradigm 8000 Windows Cost
Hi, I am replacing 4 basement windows that have metal frames. I live in Massachusetts. One installer wants to use Paradigm 8000 windows and says the frames are in excellent condition and do not need to be replaced. Cost $3200.
Another contractor plans to use American Craftsmen series 70 and plans to replace the frames with wood. Cost $3800. Which is the better deal, assuming equal installing skill?

Rich, I would prefer the Paradigm 5300 series over the Alside Mezzo. I would also compare the companies doing the work. Google them and aggregate their ratings from Yelp, Google, HomeAdvisor, etc. This should give you a clear picture of their work quality.

Paradigm 8300 Prices vs. Provia Endure
Hello Dane and Tim. I've been researching windows for a couple of weeks now, and I've found your site to be very informative. Thank you for sharing all of this knowledge. I've got three quotes in hand, and I'm leaning heavily towards one of them. I just thought I'd run them by you to see what you would recommend. Please note: the Paradigm quoted is with foam filled frames and upgraded tilt-lock mechanisms to bring them more in line with the other two choices.
I probably should've told you something about the scope of the project. We're in a 60-year-old ranch in Southeastern PA, and we're replacing half of the windows in the house. There are 12 double-hung and 1 double casement.

Branden, the Provia Endure is the best of the three for sure. However, given the price point on the three bids, the Paradigm 8300 is the best value for sure, especially given the upgrades. Assuming the Paradigm installer is of good quality, I think this is the option I would go with.

Dane, thanks so much for the fast response! With the research I've done, I came to a very similar conclusion. It's great to have your opinion match up. We were leaning heavily Provia, but the aggressive sales tactics of the rep really stuck in my craw. The Paradigm contractor comes to us from a trusted, first-hand reference. With that and the lower price, I think he just became the front runner for our project. Thanks for your input!

I am beginning to get info and quotes on the 15 windows that need replacing in my home.
Paradigm 8300: $625 per window installed
Okna 500: $675 per window installed

I need to replace 14 windows and have two bids thus far. They are very different from one another. At first, the Renewal by Andersen was $1700 installed, but he got it down to $1333 per window. The Paradigm quote was for same job, $680 per window.
