Explore Schuco windows prices and costs on many of their most popular replacement windows and sliding doors. Schuco is a German company that does operate within the U.S. and Canada. They sell through local dealers, although they tend to lots of commercial projects over residential ones. Nonetheless, you do still hear about them now and again in the residential market.The company is headquartered in the U.S. in Newington, Connecticut.
My Take On This Company: Think expensive. While the company makes a very good window, they tend to be at the tip top of the price range. I'm not sure they are quite as expensive as Renewal By Andersen prices, but they probably aren't all that dissimilar.

Price Quote Discrepancies
I am in the process of having the windows in my home replaced and have requested project bids from multiple contractors. The project includes nine windows and one three panel patio door, all with triple pane windows. All the quotes include more or less the same technical characteristics: similar installation depths, chamber design, warm-edge spacers, and overall performance values.
Received bids from multiple dealers: a local company selling Schuco, Renewal By Andersen, and Champion windows. I was floored by how much the bid prices varied.
Renewal By Andersen price quote was the most expensive - they wanted $22K, Champion $18K and Schuco was $13k.
But I was really shocked with the window labor cost discrepancies that they all sketched out for me. They all seem to get the same reviews so how can there be so much pricing difference???

Steve I'm not shocked at all by the price quotes. Schuco makes a good window and door, although they haven't been in the U.S. for all that long (they had a foothold way back when, pulled it and noe they are back again). Champion does make a good window and patio door. I might put that bid in first. But to answer your question, local companies can bid out projects at whatever prices they see fit. So they usually do :)

Schuco Windows Prices
A Schuco dealer quoted on of their windows out at $1050 each without even looking at the project. It was like they were daring me to not use their company. Weird.
