Simonton Pro-Finish Windows

Simonton Pro-Finish window is a new construction window that is sold primarily to builders and developers. It is included on the Consumer Reports Replacement Windows 2014 and the Contractor model fairs quite well. The Simonton Pro Finish is available in three models or price levels, Builder Grade, Contractor and Master Model. The Series is a new construction window instead of a replacement window, which most consumers don't purchase on the retail market - perhaps CR wanted to include a new construction window on its list.

Simonton Pro-Finish Windows Review

The Pro-Finish Builder Grade window is not very impressive in its numbers and I would recommend that you bypass this and go for the Contractor (or Master Model) model instead. The Contractor is actually very similar to the Simonton Assure Series, what was once known as the Reflections 5050 series. However, the Pro-Finish uses a slightly weaker balance system so the Assure would get the edge over the Pro-Finish. The Pro-Finish is a new construction window, meaning it comes with the nail fin that allows the window to be nailed securely into the rough opening. The Pro-Finish Contractor and Master model use the same sash design as the Simonton 5500 casement (an upgraded version of the Assure model.) The Pro-Finish has a decent main frame and should come standard as a DP35. The Simonton Pro Finish Series in the Contactor or Master Model is comparable to Milgard Tuscany prices.
