Vista Window Prices

Vista window prices fall into the mid range of the overall vinyl window price structure. Vista windows is located in Lordstown, Ohio and has been manufacturing windows and doors since 2001. The company really only produces or manufactures one vinyl window, which is called the Panorama Series. We assume this is because they hope to increase their window offerings overtime.

Vista Gold Windows Prices

Vista Gold Windows vs Marvin

Hello Dane I've been to your great site, reading your help for others and was hoping you might give me a bit of advice here. I just received bids from two different contractors and three different windows types.

I really like Supplier A, but the prices seem way outta whack for Vinyl, but what do I know? Maybe I am just crazy?

This is new construction on a house addition.

Supplier A
VISTA Gold Vinyl Triple with Argon & the hard glass = $27,506.11

Supplier B
Marvin Integrity Fiberglass Clad Ultrex = $21,182.31
Marvin Extruded Aluminum Clad = $27,564.81

You response and help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

[Site Editor's Answer]

Shayne, yes I would think that the Vista quote is way too high (I'm actually not quite sure what the Vista Gold window is). The Marvin Infinity at $27K will be a much better window and long term value than anything Vista makes. I think you need a couple more bids to see what else is out there. Marvin makes a good window, although I definitely think the Infinity is preferable to the Integrity model. I think all of these bids are negotiable though and I would use the two additional bids to drive down the Marvin bid -- if you want the Marvin windows.

Vista Panorama Windows Prices

Standard features on the Panorama vinyl window include a composite lock, a sloped sill, low-profile tilt latches, an interlocking meeting rail, triple weatherstripping, tilt in on the double-hung, and a constant force balancing system. The panorama window is available as a double hung, garden window, bay or bow, picture, casement, awning, hopper or in a slider. Vista windows offers three grades or levels of window glass including the echo sure, ultra VCL and seal smart options. The upgraded versions will offer improved performance numbers including U-factor, air infiltration and SHGC.

Consumers can opt for a number of upgrades, including an enhanced locking mechanism, foam filled cavities, a composite reinforced sash, a polyfoam wrap that helps to decrease air infiltration into the window, as well as an additional warrantee provision that covers glass breakage. All in all, the Panorama vinyl window is a very solid second-tier vinyl window that consumers that find at a good price point should be very happy with. The window is comparable to Wincore window prices and Champion windows costs.

Vista Panorama vs. ProVia Aeris

Hello Dane, we have 2 twin casements and we live in Virginia. Both are 58" x 58." Both will use tempered glass. Here are the quotes we have so far.

Vista Panorama: $1765. The installer has super reviews.

ProVia Aeris: $3575. Their installers seemed good, but I haven't looked at their reviews yet.

Sunrise Windows: $3631. The installer also has super reviews.

Preservation Triple Panes: $4140. Salesman was a bit pushy.

Vista Panorama vs WW 4000 Series

I was hoping to find Vista Panorama windows on the list for comparison, but I have read a bit about Vista on your site and I have seen that you indicate it is a mid range "pretty decent" window. I have a quote for $920 installed for 2 double hungs and one picture window with Low E argon, .29 double hung to .26 picture.

Considering adding more double hung windows and the quote installed was $288. I'm getting calls in now for more quotes (from your site), but the other quote I already have is Window World 4000 series with solar zone glass and foam filled frame for $1,364 (same 3 windows).

Angela - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Answer]

The Vista Panorama is loads better than the WW 4000, which is probably one of the worst windows out there. The price quote you received does sound very solid and I like the fact that you have a contractor who has installed the window before, because he (hopefully) knows all the little tricks that may come into play with the installation.

Vista Panorama Window Costs

We are looking at 11 casements, 3 2-Lite sliders, 1 3-Lite slider, 1 awning, and 2 picture windows (18 total). We live in northeast Wisconsin. The Vista Panorama best price is $13,240 and the Soft-Lite Elements best price is $15,933. Both installers have good BBB ratings. The Vista dealer contracts installation labor while the Soft-Lite dealer employs the installers.

Matt - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Response]

Matt, this price breakdown makes it a toss up in my mind. $735 for the Vista Panorama or $885 - either way it's not cheap. The one thing that concerns me about the Vista is the contract labor, while the Soft-Lite uses their own labor, which means that the installers work with the same windows each time and know all the little tips and tricks that can trip up the installation teams.

Vista Panorama Windows Prices

I'm replacing 19 vinyl windows, two of which are large half-rounds.

Vista Panorama Windows: $10,800

Midway EnviroSealed Windows: $12,500

Julia - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Answer]

Julia, the Midway is probably thea better window, but how it's probably a coin flip in terms of the better deal.

Vista Windows Prices

I have a quote for 16 Vista windows, low-e argon fills double pane double hangs for $12,000. Are these good windows and is it a fair price. I live in North Carolina.

Jim - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Response]

You haven't really provided enough details to say for sure. Particularly, what vista model are you looking at, how large are the windows and what installation details can you provide. For instance, 16 Vista 800DX windows in a standard white, half screens and standard installation would run $600 to $700 total. Often, in the South you will see slightly lower prices.

Vista Windows Ratings

The Vista Panorama window with the low E glass and argon fills will deliver a U factor of .29, an SHGC of .28, and a visible transmittance of .52. Upgrading to the better glass package will lower these numbers to a U-factor of .22, an SHGC of .22 and a VT of .30. For the most part, these are pretty good numbers, superior to say most Simonton window models.

Vista Windows Warranty

The Vista Panorama comes with a lifetime limited warranty, which can be transferred to a second homeowner. The warranty includes a 15 year provision on exterior paint colors and 10 years on the interior woodgrain laminate. There are a number of limitations and exclusions that apply to this warranty so consumer should always read the warranty in full prior to purchase.
