Advanced Window Products Windows And Doors

Advanced Window Products reviews is a family-owned, Salt Lake City based company that offers replacement windows, doors, and siding installation. The company is part of Earthwise Windows, a group of independently-owned manufacturers with a dozen factories across the country. Most of these smaller manufacturers buy parts and assemble them at their local factory and sell them within their regional market. Scroll down to tead all of our Advanced Window Products reviews.

My Take On This Company: Are Advanced Window Products Any Good? I don't quite know the answer to this - yet. Earthwise windows get good reviews for the most part. Not top tier marks, but solid nonetheless. I feel like we still need to collect more homeowner reviews before I formulate an opinion on AWP. However, there aren't a ton of quality option in Utah so a bid from AWP is definitely worth a shot.

What They Sell

The company sells the Earthwise series of windows, which is a group of independently-owned manufacturers located across the country. Their windows are good I would say, but certainly not top tier like Okna Windows or a Soft-Lite. All in all, though, Earthwise manufacturers use quality parts and components.

Warranty Information

AWP offers a lifetime warranty that protects against manufacturing defects under normal usage. The lifetime warranty covers the original purchaser of the windows/doors, as well as a subsequent owner for as long as they own the home. Additionally, the company will pay for the labor costs associated with the repair or replacement. As well, the warranty is transferrable to another homeowner, although the new owner nust informa Advanced Window Products within 30 days of the title transfer and pay the company a $50 transfer fee. Finally, the company offers accidental glass breakage, which is great. All in all, this is a VERY solid warranty. I'm impressed.

Advanced Window Products Cost

Dane, we are currently looking to replace our windows in northern Utah. We have received 3 bids so far.

The project is for 6 sliders, 1 picture (8x5), and 1 sliding glass door.

The first quote was from AWP for $9700. The second was from Renewal by Anderson for $31K. We will not be doing that, way too expensive. The 3rd was for a company using Alside Mezzo with the Climateq elite plus glass for 14.8K. That seems high as well. Do you have any thoughts other than keep looking?

Also do you have any recommendations for Utah?

Respectfully.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Tanner, AWP gets good reviews -- they seem to use their own windows, which I know nothing about. RBA is kinda ridiculous with their prices --

The Mezzo is probably not what I would put in my home and expect it to last long term -- Read our Alside Mezzo windows reviews.

Here are my recommendations -- and they are pretty scant so I apologize in advance. And for local window bids, we have our simple, no-cost form.

Can anyone tell me the general quality of Advanced Window Products of UT?

Stephanie - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Response]

Stephanie, I hadn't heard of AWP of UT. I took a look at their website and saw they are part of the Earthwise, which generally seem to get good reviews. I read the reviews of them on Google and they seemed to be generally good as well. I tend to steer consumers towards companies and brands that I know a little better. I know that Sunrise and Soft-Lite both sell their products in Utah and both of them are considered excellent vinyl window brands.

[Stephanie's Response]

Unfortunately I don't think Sunrise Windows are available in Utah--at least not in Salt Lake City. I am not dead set on vinyl. We did an in home estimate with Advanced Window products, as well as a Renewal by Andersen cost bid. My gut feeling with RBA is that the product is amazing, but probably still overpriced. The current windows I'm researching are the Anderson 400 series, Marvin Ultimate, Marvin Infinity, and AWP. Obviously I'm not even dead set on wood, vinyl, etc. Any suggestions to narrow this down to "the one"? We are planning to get into a few showrooms to play with the actual windows soon and hopefully that helps. Our project is planned for about a year from now.

Steph, the RBA is usually way overpriced and not really worth the huge price tag in my opinion. The Marvin Ultimate is one of my favorite wood clad otpions. I like the Infinity with the Everwood interior a lot and have heard that it's one of the best fiberglass windows on the market. That would probably be my pick, as long as you like how the interior looks. It isn't wood, but it also doesn't come with all of the potential issues that wood can prevent down the road. ☺
