Allstate Windows vs Window World

Hi again, I realize that I only gave you the base price for the Window World windows. Once the additions are included (for tempered glass, grids, Energy Star rated, and trim), it adds $203 per window ($263 if you include removal fees), making them $498/$558 each. We also got a quote from Allstate many months ago, but their reviews aren’t so great either.

Liz, I would certainly get a few more bids over Window World and Allstate. I'll send you my list of windows.

Allstate vs. Window World

I need to replace 11 windows and currently have just one quote from Window World and one quote from Allstate. The Window World quotes came in $1180 below Allstate.

The Allstate estimate went from $8700 to $4400 by the end of the presentation. Allstate has called repeatedly asking whether I'm ready to move forward, while WW has sort of let me take a breather. I have heard good things on both companies so I'm not quite sure which I should go with.

Susan, Window World is usually the company that offers the bargain basement windows and it looks like that is indeed the case here as well. In general, they sell a subpar window. I don't know enough about Allstate to have an opinion.

My advise would be to find a local Simonton dealer who can give you a bid on one of their mid range or premium model vinyl windows. These are going to provide more value in my opinion, from a company that has a pretty darn solid track record in the industry.
