Hansons Windows Reviews 2026
1 800 Hansons is a Michigan based replacement window and home improvement company based in Detroit, Michigan. They are focused on affordable vinyl windows using often high-pressure sales techniques and tactics that rub some consumers the wrong way. This is not the cmopany I would recommend for most consumers unless you need an okay vinyl window and you're fine with the real possibility of the hard sell. 1 800 Hanson was started back in 1988 and offers the following services: windows, roofing, siding, gutters and bath remodeling. In 2017, Hansons was sold to Huron Capital.

Hansons Windows Warranty
Hansons offers a limited lifetime warranty to the original owner/ buyer of the windows. This includes the labor cost to repair and replace the window due to a manufacturing defect. The warranty includes an accidental glass breakage provision (quite nice), and is transferrable to a subsequent owner. However, the new owner must submit a Transferrable Guarantee to the company once the title transfer occurs.

"According to reddit, hansons buys most of their reviews on Google and more or less pay for them good reviews. Should I be careful of companies like this?"

Editor's Advice:
Benice, I have certainly heard this about Hansons from several homeowners who were looking for quotes. I would definitely be careful when getting a bid from them -- also they have a bit of a reputation for being somewhat aggressive as well. I think there are better options and I'll send you my list of recommendations for your consideration.

Hansons Windows Reviews
I live in Kalamazoo Michigan, I got drafty windows with lots of water condensation during winter, which is why I'm looking to replace them. I have 13 windows and 1 sliding patio door. 6 sliding 46"x49" - 1 stationary 48"x58" - 3 double hung 28"x58 - 3 double hung 28"x 48" - Sliding patio door 6'x6'
These are the quotes I got:
Hansons: initial price ~24k , after discounts ~16k - material: virgin vinyl, triple pane. Lifetime guarantee
All weather seal: Initial price : 44k , after 20% discount ~36k. Material: Soft-Lite Element window, virgin vinyl, triple pane. Double lifetime warranty
Renewal by Andersen: initial price ~45k, after discounts ~39k. Material: composite of fiberglass and wood, double pane. 20 years warranty
I like Hanson's price but also care about energy efficiency and increasing my home Value. What do you think? Are these good quotes? I'm intrigued on why the price from All weather and Andersen is that high, is it better quality?

Alberto, Hansons sells a decent vinyl window. I think if your local branch has really good reviews, then you should consider this bid. The Soft-Lite Element is the best vinyl window around (one of them at least) - but the difference in price is pretty astounding between those two bids. Renewal is simply overpriced for what you are getting. ( Renewal By Andersen Prices )
The Soft-Lite window price and Hanson bids are SOOOO far apart that it's hard to give a definitive answer. What's your timeline in the home?

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I've been living in the house for 2 years and planning on living on it at least for another 8 years. I also got a quote from Champions yesterday for $25,500. It's close to Hanson's price, do you know if their windows are better? Thank you! ( Champion Windows Reviews )

Champion makes a very good window. But if your timeline in the home is 8 years, I would go with the Hansons option for $16K. I think that's going to be your best ROI!

Hansons Window Review
Hanson has its good and bad points. They handle customer service really well, fast responses and they take customer satisfaction very seriously. It can be annoying, though, because they investigate pretty closely and it can make some warranty claims take a little longer than with other companies. Management really seems to care about their reputation and they go out of the way to make sure customers are happy.
