Mathews Brothers Windows Reviews And Prices

Mathews Brothers is a Maine based window manufacturer that has been in business since 1854 (making it the oldest window manufacturer in the United States). The company has two main vinyl window series that they sell through local companies as well as lumberyards (like Menards) throughout the northeast. While I don't hear all that much about these guys, they do have one of the best taglines in the industry -- wicked, awesome windows -- how great is that? Scroll down to read all of our Mathews Brothers windows reviews.

Overall Rating: Mathews Brothers Windows gets a 3.9 out of 5 stars based on 3 consumer reviews below.

My Take On This Company: Not a strong opinion one way or the other so far, but this certainly could change with time. Probably worth it to grab a bid - if for no other reason than a comparison data point. Send me the bid and I'll check it out!

What They Sell

Mathews Brothers manufactures and sells two main window series, which includes the Spencer Walcott vinyl window and the Sanford Hills vinyl window. I have taken a look at both of these rather extensive brochures on the company website, but I wasn't able to really discern how these two window series differed. Truthfully, I much prefer when the company tells you their line up and then does a brief description of how their window series differ from one another. Anlin Windows and Doors does a good job of this.

Mathews Brothers Windows Warranty

The company's warranty covers their windows for the lifetime of the original buyer. Specifically, that the windows are free from any manufacturing defects. The warranty is transferrable, but will only cover the subsequent buyer for 20 years from the date of purchase. The warranty on their doors is 20 years manufacturing defect free. All in all, a pretty standard window and door warranty when compared to other manufacturers

Maine Replacement Windows

Hello, I've referenced your site quite a bit during my research of new construction windows. I know you typically recommend Okna and SoftLite but any thoughts or feedback on Mathew Brothers? They are a local manufacturer in this area, NH and ME but I haven't heard much about their products. A big seller for mid range vinyl in this area is Harvey – who also makes SoftLite Windows. Thank you.

Tony, I really don't know anything about Mathews Brothers Windows. I tried to look at online reviews and ratings, but I didn't find all that much -- or I should say that it was unclear if I was getting reviews for the right company. I do like Harvey Windows if the price point is right -- and yes I like Soft-Lite windows. [Email dane@replacementwindowsreviews.co for his recommendations]

Hi Dane, thank you for the quick and detailed reply. I really like the Okna windows and had a local company, Morgan Exteriors, provide a quote a couple years ago. I thought it was pretty high at the time. Although I want a new construction window install not a replacement window so I realize that will jack up the total cost.

I will most likely have the Okna 500 and Harvey Classic quoted by a few local contractors, including Morgan Exteriors and I will send them your way for feedback. I’m looking for a window that is more % glass than frame but still solid/ tight to replace the original Rivco’s that are 22 years old. Thanks again!
