Alice, the Andersen 100 is a composite fibrex window that I would rate a 6.5 out of 10. The Vytex Grandview is a vinyl window that I would also rate 6.5 out of 10. The air infiltration rating on the Grandview is a .08 on the double hung so a solid option.
Window Nation prices are often somewhat higher than other operations due to the size and marketing of their company. So price has to be a factor here.
Yes, it does change things for me. I would say the Andersen 100 is the better value over the Grandview at that price point.

Jose, unfortunately, I have never heard of Thermalast Windows - I don't love that because I know hundreds of brands out there so I think it makes more sense to go with a known brand that has a clear and transparent track record. However, I will definitely take a look at them and get back to you with what I find out. Thanks for putting them on my radar.
