Northwest Exteriors Reviews 2026
Northwest Exteriors is located in the Sacramento to Santa Rosa portions of California and specializes in replacement windows, doors, patio covers, and siding. The company got its start in the mid 1990s and is a local distributor for Anlin, which is considered one of the best vinyl window brands in the western half of the U.S. Northwest Exteriors generates good and competitive consumer reviews for their installation services.
Our Verdict: Any company on the west coast that sells Anlin brand windows and doors is worth a bid in my opinion. While I don't know a ton about Northwest Exteriors (yet), they are definitely worth a bid to see what their Anlin price point comes out at.

Northwest Exteriors vs Dick's Rancho Glass
"Dane, what do you feel about Northwest Exteriors in the Sac valley. I saw there are a handful of reviews on the page, but in years past, you didn’t have a strong feeling. Has that changed at all? We have a bid from them that’s on par with Dicks Rancho. The Northwest guys have us on the Panorama series and two Malibu sliders, while Dicks Rancho Glass has us on the Trinsic and the V300 patio doors."
Nikki, Homeowner - from 2026
Editor's Advice:
Nikki, pretty comparable windows and dealers. However, I do like Anlin over Milgard as a rule of thumb. So all things being equal, I’d go with Northwest Exteriors and their lineup.

⭐ PRO TIP - When two bids are similar, focus on the window series, patio door model, installer reputation, warranty support, and overall company reviews — not just the final price. Always collect 2 to 3 estimates before making a final decision. ⭐
Milgard Trinsic vs Anlin Del Mar In Sacramento
"Your thoughts on the $10k difference between Milgard Trinsic windows and Anlin Del Mar? So it’s probably our forever home here outside of Sacramento - Granite Hills. Until we get to the point where we want to significantly downsize and travel much much more (eg 15-20 years)."
Nicole, Homeowner - from 2025
Editor's Advice:
Nicole, I think if you are staying in the home long term you could go Anlin Del Mar...but I also don't think you have to. As long as you get a great install, I think you are good to go with the Milgard Trinsic as well. However, $10K is alot of money for a bit better window. As you can see, I'm a bit torn here.

Northwest Exteriors vs River City Windows
| Company / Window Series | Total Quote Installed | Average Installed Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Northwest Exteriors: Anlin Catalina | Approximately $16,050 | $800 per window |
| River City Windows: Alside Mezzo | Approximately $16,050 | $800 per window |
| Patio Slider | $2,450 | $2,450 |
"I recently received price quotes on 17 windows and one patio slider. The quotes we received from Northwest Exteriors and River City Windows were virtually identical to one another. Windows were $800 each fully installed and patio door was $2450 (again including install cost). Also, each included a lifetime warranty covering parts and labor. Given all that, which would you say is the better option?"
Gerry, Homeowner - from 2025
Editor's Advice:
Gerry, both Northwest Exteriors and River City Windows offer some very nice brands and they receive excellent consumer reviews. This is a flip of the coin for me, although you never specified what window and patio door brand and series each quoted you on. This is going to be the big deciding factor for me. So if you can get back to me and detail the brand and series, then I can better help out.
Gerry's Follow-Up:
Dane, thank you so much for your response. I have been really stressing out over this decision and have gone thru lots of high pressure sales jobs (not with Northwest Exteriors and River City, but others).
Northwest Exteriors: Brand: Anlin and Series: Catalina.
River City: Brand: Alside and Series: Mezzo
Love to hear your thoughts and many thanks to you as I’m a single senior and sometimes I feel like I’m been taken advantage of.
Gerry, Homeowner - from 2025
Gerry, first off, your price points are fair given what I’m seeing here in 2025, so you are not being taken advantage of, so far as I can tell. For me, there is a clear winner between your two bids. The Anlin Catalina is the better window over the Alside Mezzo. The Mezzo is certainly a decent window, but it does not stand up to the Catalina. So I say go with the Northwest Exteriors bid! Please let me know if you have any additional issues and I’m glad you found a good deal on a very good window from a well reviewed company. You nailed you

Price Quote From NWE
Hi there, Dane, we recently had a cost quote from Northwest exteriors, which sells Anlin brand windows and doors. The quote seemed high to me, but what do I know? Came out to $1236 for the windows, all horizontal sliders in the Catalina series. And the Malibu patio sliders, two of them came out to $3400 fully installed. I was wondering what you thought of these prices and if you had any insight into Northwest Exteriors. Thanks in advance for your professional opinion.

[Site Editor's Answer]
Sam, I don’t hear about Northwest Exteriors all that much. But from what I can tell, they are pretty solid organization. I think the price quoted sounds good on the Malibu patio sliders, and possibly a bit high on the Catalina horizontal sliders. But I say this often, it’s really tough to just say whether a price is too high or not, without seeing it compared with some other bids - just for comparison sake.
This is going to tell you whether that Catalina price is fair and equitable or whether it is a bit inflated. My advice is to get two or three more beds compare the window prices, and then we’ll have our answer. Feel free to send me the bids and I’m more than happy to take a look and give you my assessment.

Northwest Exteriors Reviews
I had a company - Northwest Exteriors out of Rancho Cordova give us a bid on 6 Anlin Del Mar windows and two Malibu sliding doors. Bid came out to $13.9k
Roberta - Homeowner - from 2024
[Site Editor's Answer]
Roberta, that's a fair price in 2024. I'm not saying I would pull the trigger without at least getting a few more bids, but I am saying that you have one very good bid to start with.
