Stergis Windows in North Carolina
I want to replace all of my 23 windows and 3 doors on a coastal property in NC (along with the siding at the same time) with a vinyl / fiberglass / pvc impact window product. FYI, this is a second home that will become our primary home in the next 5-10 years, and it is my goal to never have to replace these windows again.
That said, while this is a nice house, we do not need high end fancy windows - just solid quality and nice enough looks. The range of prices including installation has been huge - running anywhere from $75,000 for PGT, with Viwinco and Marvin in the middle, and then $130,000 for Anderson. The same builder who recommended PGT has also advised that Stergis Windows would be another good alternative, but I see absolutely no reviews of this company even though they have been in business for 50+ years apparently.
I have spent hours and hours researching your incredible site and am curious if you have any feedback on Stergis in particular since they are not listed. As well, any other feedback that you might have regarding the others would be appreciated as well. Finally, I would welcome any thoughts that you have or any vendors you might recommend in the Morehead City, NC area. Loved your Stergis Windows Reviews - Thanks!

David, I have no information on them and was surprised to see that they have been around for that long without really any consumer reviews. This would give me a lot of pause. I saw that they sell a Belmont series, which is part of Alliance windows. I'm really unsure if they are associated with them in any way.

Best Boston Replacement Windows
I live in Boston and am looking at replacing my windows. To that end, I am considering several brands that you appear to like, including Simonton and Harvey vinyl windows. Another company offers Stergis windows, who are local here in Massachusetts. What do you think of these guys as they relate to the other companies? Nate, I would rank the companies like this: Harvey, Simonton, Stergis. To be honest, I hear very little about Stergis. On the other hand, I hear lots about Harvey and Simonton, both of which I can openly endorse. If you want to send me the bids (summations are the best as I can't open attachments due to a virus issue a number of years back), I am happy to help you navigate through the process of selecting the best value/window for your situation.
