Home : Replacement Windows Comparisons : Gerkin vs Pella Gerkin Windows vs Pella
Gerkin Windows vs Pella - do these two brands stack up? Gerkin (Nebraska based) is the much smaller company here and the much less known from a consumer standpoint. The company make a quality product overall, although they manufacture vinyl and aluminum windows (compare to Pella, just below). Price wise, Gerkin is going to be close to Pella, although I think for the most part, Gerkin achieves a slightly lower overall price point.
Pella Costs: $$$$/$$$$$
Gerkin Windows vs PellaCompany InformationGerkin Windows & Doors, not a household name, manufactures aluminum, vinyl, and storm windows and doors. The company is located in South Sioux City, Nebraska and has been in the fenestration industry since 1923 - that's a long time for such a small-ish company.
"Pella is going to be the much easier to find around the country (available in all states), but I like Gerkin in the locations where they operate. A quality buy at the right price point." What They SellGerkin manufactures three window/door series: the Comfort series (vinyl), the Rhino series (aluminum), and their Storm series (also aluminum). This is easy to understand from a consumer perspective - which can't be said for some others such as Simonton Windows, who sells like 20 different vinyl windows. Cost ComparisonGerkin vinyl window costs are going to be 6/7 out of 10. Their Rhino series (aluminum) is going to run 7 out of 10. Their storm series will run 7/8 out of 10 (compared to other storm windows). More on what Gerkin Windows cost.
