"Simonton is the much larger company in this head-to-head match up. Both companies make quality windows and doors. However, it is Anlin that I would say has the better overall reputation in the industry."

Anlin Windows vs Simonton

Company Information

Anlin Windows And Doors is based in Clovis, California and has been in business since 1990. Generally, the company enjoys a vey solid reputation for manufacturing quality vinyl products. Back in 2021, Anlin was purchased by PGT Innovations, which has been quite active in acquiring window and door companies as of late. From everything we can tell, Anlin’s product quality has not suffered in any appreciable way.

Simonton Windows And Doors is a based in Columbus, Ohio and has been in business since 1946 (so significantly longer than Anlin). What They Sell

Anlin sell quite a few products. By far, their most popular is the Delmar series, which is also their premium vinyl window. Their drop-down windows include the Coronado, the Catalina, and Panoramic series. They also sell the Malibu vinyl patio sliding door. From here, it gets interesting, Anlin sells a number of window options that are not listed on their main website.

They also sell the Mar Vista through certain dealers that typically do not have access to their normal line of windows. The Mar Vista is a more budget minded option that I would put as a decent mid range vinyl window. Similar to the Mar Vista is the Monte Verde. This is also a sort of off label series that is sold through certain dealers and is a more budget minded vinyl window. Finally, the company also sells the Alii extreme series. This is another window that is not available on their main website, but it’s only available if you search it up and it’s only sold through certain dealers located in Hawaii.

Anlin Windows Reviews

Simonton sells even more window and door series than Anlin. They have so many series that it's tough to keep track of them all. I'll just touch upon the highlights. They have their Reflections and Impression series, both are which are quite good and my favorite in this line up. There is the VantagePointe 6000 series that is sold exclusively through Home Depot. Finally, the company sells the Stormbreaker Plus, which is their impact window series. For all of the Simonton window and door lines, clikc on the review line below.

How They Market

Anlin markets their windows and doors using an extensive dealer network that stretches across most of the western half of United States. They do not sell directly to consumers as many other companies do such as Renewal or Apex energy solutions. (Renewal By Andersen reviews)

Simonton also markets their windows and doors using an extensive dealer network that stretches across most of the United States. They also sell through the big box stores, as well as through contractors and builders. It is often said that any contractor with a truck has access to Simonton window and doors.

Cost Comparisons

Anlin prices are in the upper mid range for vinyl windows. Their Catalina, Coronado, and panoramic series are a 6 to 7 out of 10 on a scale of one to 10 for all vinyl window costs. Their premium Delmar series is more like an eight out of 10 on the scale of one to 10. Their doors are six out of eight on a one to 10 scale for vinyl window doors. They’re offbrand labels, such as the Mar Vista and Monteverde series, are a 5 to 6 on a scale of one to 10 for all vinyl window prices.

Simonton windows prices are generally in the mid range for their vinyl windows and doors. I'd say anywhere from 3 to 7 out of ten in terms of window vinyl prices, which I estimate at $400 to $1200 fully installed. Simonton prices tend to be relatively fair given the quality of the products.

These are suggested prices only and each project is priced out by window companies that are under no obligation to stick with. Best suggested. This is one reason why I always suggest collecting 3 to 5 bids before you pull the trigger on any option. but this will ensure that you get the best and most competitive pricing available. Anlin vs Simonton Question

Hello Dane, I really like your site. We are replacing 27 windows in the Denver Metro area. We have had 5 bids and have narrowed it down to 2 to companies. Both local companies that we feel good about with the installation.

The first company would use Simonton Daylight Max and the cost would be $28k

The second company would use Anlin Del Mar with SunMatrix and cost $42k

I think the Anlin windows are a little better, but I'm having a hard time justifying the cost difference and would like your opinion.

We are in our mid 70s and will probably only be in the house for another 15-20 years

Thanks.

Anlin Del Mar Windows Reviews

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ed, I agree with you that the Del Mar is the better window. I also agree that the price difference is too much if your timeline is 15 years.

Did the Anlin dealer give you a bid on the Catalina or the Panoramic? This might be a happy medium perhaps?

The Daylight Max is a good option if you know that the install team is going to do a great job. As long as you feel confident in that regard then I think this is the call between these two. But I would also be interested in seeing the pricing from Anlin on one of their drop down series, which are still better overall than the Daylight Max.
