Marvin Windows And Doors are available in Colorado through various local distributors and local window companies. The company manufactures three main window series, including the Integrity, Infinity and Ultimate Windows. The first two are fiberglass windows, while the Ultimate is a wood window with an aluminum exterior cladding. Marvin gets some of the best and most consistent reviews from consumers and industry insiders on the quality and craftsmanship of their windows. This is not to say that there aren't customer complaints out there that have merit. However, as a rule, Marvin manufactures a high quality product and stands behind their work. Marvin windows are some of the more expensive fiberglass and wood clad windows on the market.

Sunrise Windows
Sunrise has local dealers in Denver and Colorado Springs and should be available in mcuh of the state. Sunrise is considered a top tier vinyl window manufacturer by most contractors, consumers and industry insiders. The only exception to this rule is their entry level Essentials models. The standard Sunrise frame is quite solid and their other upgraded models, including the Verde Vanguard and Restoration, all use this basic frame, along with some nice glass, component and part upgrades. Their top-of-the-line Restoration is one of our picks for the best replacement vinyl windows available.

Amerimax Windows
Amerimax Windows and Doors operates their main manufacturing facility in Loveland, Colorado (as well as one in central California). The company is one the better vinyl window manufacturers that services the Western United States. The company offers an array of vinyl windows and doors, including their Masters Grande, Craftsman Portrait, Aristocrat Casement window, as well as Bay and Bow windows.
In addition, Amerimax offers three patio sliding and hinged door models, including the Classic French hinged, New Horizon slider and Riviera French slider. Their windows and doors are priced out in the middle of all vinyl windows and doors.

Soft-Lite Zen Windows
Soft-Lite Zen windows are, to the best of our knowledge, a rebranded Soft-Lite window. Rebadge or rebranded windows simply means that the parent company, in this case, Soft-Lite sells their windows through a specific set of distributors, using a different name. In this case Zen Windows. Essentially, the Zen Karma is the equivalent to the Soft-Lite Barrington, the Zen Nirvana is the equivalent to the Soft-Lite Classic, and the Zen Lotus is the equivalent to the Soft-Lite Pro. While the Barrington is not considered a very good vinyl window, both the Soft-Lite Classic and the Soft-Lite Pro are considered top quality vinyl windows.

Denver Colorado Replacement Windows
Hello Dane, we live in Denver, Colorado, looking to replace approximately eight aluminum windows on the first floor, possibly four more on the basement level, with the front side of our 1964 Ranch house being west facing... An architect/general contractor neighbor has strongly recommended we consider buying fiberglass windows over vinyl.
Apex Windows has approached us to be a model home with their Insignia windows.
We are trying to get the best windows possible at the cheapest cost.
Would be interested in your list of recommendations.

Joan, you can defintely go with fiberglass windows, but they will run on average 30% more over vinyl. Marvin is an excellent brand so definitely get a bid from them. My own opinion is that a high end vinyl window is roughly equivalent to a fiberglass window (and the energy efficiency numbers do bear this out).
