Soft-Lite Windows
Soft-Lite is a top vinyl window manufacturer that is based out of Ohio, but has distribution in many of the surrounding states, including New Jersey. They are one of the faster growing window companies, with a booming franchise in Zen Windows and several strategic rebranding partnerships such as Envision Windows. The company itself manufacturers six different window models, from the entry level Barrington up to the premium Elements series. While we never really recommend buying an entry level window), the rest of the Soft-Lite fleet is very solid for the price point.

Ideal Windows
Ideal Windows is a New Jersey based window manufacturer that sells their windows through dealers in up to 25 states in the Northeast section of America. Their Platinum 3000 and Majestic models are top performers that can be found at times at quite reasonable prices. I would put them on par with the Okna 500 and 600 models. Quite a nice option for residents in the state of New Jersey.

Okna Windows
Okna Windows And Doors is a top vinyl producer and has distribution on through several local dealers and distributors. Certainly there is a local dealer in the Rochester area. Okna manufactures the 400 Precision Weld, 500 Insul-Tec, 700, 800 EnviroStar, and 900 Starmark composite windows. All of these are considered well made, although the Insul-Tec and 800 Series are the standouts. Consumers can select from one of two "package options", the Energy Option, which includes low-e glass and argon fills, or the Deluxe Option, which as includes foam fills in the frame and a locking screen.

Best Windows For New Jersey
Hi Dane, I have an Andersen 2817 basement hopper/awing window that needs replacement. I replaced 2 others when we moved in 25+ years ago, but didn’t do the last as it was in an unfinished space. Do you have any recommendations for a suitable replacement? We live in northern NJ.
