My Take On This Company: While I'm not sure I like the idea of going with a company that is primarily into roofing, they do rep one of the best window brands in Soft Lite Windows. Get a bid from Amos Exteriors and just see what they are charging for putting in some of the best vinyl windows on the market.

What They Sell And Install

Amos Exteriors sells and installs Soft-lite windows and doors. For my money, this is one of the best window brands out there and this is the principal reason why I would get behind collecting a bid from these guys.

Indianapolis Replacement Windows

Hello, I am narrowing down my search and would appreciate any advice or guidance you could provide me. So, I live in the Indianapolis IN area. Also, all quotes are to replace 16 windows with double hungs. I was really impressed with the Soft lite, but not sure if it's worth the extra cost over the Okna. Apex Windows seems decent, but for the window they provide I feel the Okna is better. All come with lifetime warranties. Additionally, Mr Window offers a 1-2 year labor warranty, depending if I leave a review (awkward). Amos claims they have a 5 year labor warranty.

I am leaning toward the Okna 800 bid. From my research it seems to be the best option at the price point. I am also considering seeing if the owner will negotiate a longer labor warranty as everyone else I have spoken to offers two years or more. Thanks so much for any help you can provide!

Eric, I think you're exactly right -- the Soft-Lite Elements is more or less on par with the Okna 800. The warranty for a year or two is sufficient -- nothing happens to these windows until year 12 plus -- unless it happens when they order or install. Not that uncommon for them to offer the extended warranty and actually a pretty good idea from their standpoint, but yeah maybe awkward. The Okna 800 at that price is a solid price and that's on one of the best vinyl windows in the business.
