Climate Solutions Windows Reviews (Overview 2026)
Climate Solutions Windows And Doors is a Chicago, Illinois based window manufacturer that has been making vinyl windows for over decade. Their IGUs, or Insulated Glass Units, are cut and assembled at the factory, not ordered. I think this was worth noting as it is prominently displayed on their website. Explore Climate Solutions Windows reviews on their Classic series, 7100 series, and 8100 window series.
Our Verdict: I don't actually know the answer to this question -- yet. I will continue to monitor CSW and homeowner reviews in order to provide the most up-to-date and accurate information that I can find.

Climate Solutions Window Cost Comparison
| Company Or Window Series | Total Quote Installed | Average Cost Per Opening |
|---|---|---|
| Local Dealer — Soft-Lite Classic | $13,500 | $1,227 |
| Climate Solutions | $11,666 | $1,061 |
| Advanced Window Corp | $9,730 | $885 |
My husband and I are getting project estimates that will cover one patio door and 10 double hung windows using the full installation method, not cutting them out. Can you help me compare these bids and let me know which one you think would be a good decision. I'm having some analysis paralysis and could use a nice steady hand in this. Thank you!
Local Dealer - Soft-Lite Classic - 13,500
Climate Solutions - $11,666
Advanced Window Corp - $9,730
Editor's Advice:
Liv, my call here would be the Advanced Window corp deal. It's significantly less expensive than the other two options and this is a good window. Plus, I like the local aspect of it. As long as the installation dealer gets good to great reviews, then I'm go with this route and think that it makes the most sense from a return on investment point of view.

Scientific American Window Quote Comparison
| Company And Window Series | Total Quote Installed | Average Cost Per Opening |
|---|---|---|
| Home Depot — Simonton VantagePointe | $12,700 | $747 across 17 openings |
| Lowe’s — Pella 250 | $13,050 | $768 across 17 openings |
| Scientific American Classic Series | $13,150 | $822 across 16 openings |
The Home Depot and Lowe’s proposals cover all 17 openings. The Scientific American proposal covers only 16 openings because it includes one picture window rather than both. The homeowner estimates that Scientific American is effectively $1,600 to $1,700 more for comparable project scope.
Hi Dane, my quote for 15 double hung (1 with privacy glass and 1 with tempered glass) and 2 fixed frame are as follows:
Home Depot - Simonton VantagePointe Cost - $12,700.00 - 20 year product warranty, lifetime labor install(This quote was given in May so I'd have to see if they would honor it).
Lowes - Pella 250 Windows Cost - $13,050.00 - 1 year labor, limited lifetime warranty on product
Scientific American Classic Series - $13,150.00 - lifetime warranty that includes labor(this price only includes replacing 1 picture window, not both)
So the Scientific American quote is about $1600 - $1700 more seeing they're not replacing the both pictures like Home Depot and Lowes is.
I never heard of ClimateSolutions. I was told Scientific American doesn't carry Soft-Lite anymore. I'm working on getting another quote, trying to get quotes for Soft Lite and/or Okna, maybe Kensington windows?
Thanks!
Editor's Advice:
Brian, the Simonton quote sounds like the best solution so far, although I would porbably put the Pella 250 series on par with the Simonton Window. I think for me it would come down to the installer, which is why I don't love using the big box stores. I would want to know the company name of both so I could check their online reviews and make sure they get solid marks.
Quotes from a dealer who carries Soft Lite, Okna, and Kensington sounds like a good plan! Read all of our Kensington Windows Reviews here.

Climate Solutions Windows Reviews :: 7100 Series
The Climate Solutions 7100 series is the company's "drop down" vinyl window series - basically their second best vinyl window option.

Climate Solutions 7100 Series Review
| Window Series | Total Quote Installed | Average Installed Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Climate Solutions 7100 Series | $6,885 | $765 per window |
| Climate Solutions 8100 Series (3-Light) | $1,340 | $1,340 per window |
"Dane, I received a quote for 9 double hungs on the Climate Solutions 7100 series for a 3 season front porch for $6,885 and a 3 light top of the Climate Solutions 8100 window for $1,340. Total is $8,225. I live in Chicago so replacement window prices are a bit higher. My question is would I get the same quote from say an Okna window or Soft-light Windows? Thanks."

Editor's Advice:
Olivia, my notion is that Soft-Lite and Okna Windows would be more expensive, but you can NEVER tell. I'm often stunned by how bids come in -- half the time I think they throw out a price on the spot. I'd get those bids and see! It can only help! Happy to take a look when you collect them. I have a few other Chicago companies if you're interested...

Climate Solutions 8100 series
Hi Dane, please would you share your recommendations for a replacement window company? We live in Aurora, IL, which is about 45 min west of Chicago. We just had the front upper windows replaced on our raised ranch home, and it was done by Window Concepts. They used Climate Solutions 8100 series. Cost was reason we did not do whole house.
But upon getting these done, and now having another window leak, we are looking at buying the bullet and replacing the rest. Truly did not shop around other than to check Menards, and now we are wondering if we should have…. Yes, of course. So here we are. Any thoughts you would be willing to share would be most appreciated.

8100 Series Review
Dane, starting to get replacement window bids and have one from Home Improvements USA to install the 8100 series. I'm looking to see how they 'fit' into the ratings: high end, mid range, entry, etc. Are you familiar with the window? Ratings? Thanks.

Doug, I really don't know anything about their products. They either manufacture them themselves or they buy them and relabel them. I don't recognize the name of the window. Home Improvement USA seems to get good reviews though...
