Eco Window Systems Reviews And Prices

Eco Window Systems is a Miami based manufacturer that specializes in impact windows. They seem to be focused on South Florida, but I'm assuming they would like to expand out and grow their roots. (Their website mentions their entrepreneurial spirit, which I take to mean "willing to expand".) The company makes a single line of impact windows, which they call the EcoGuard™ Series. The company sells in both the residential and commercial space. Scroll down to read our Eco Window Systems reviews.

Eco Window Systems gets a 3.8 out of 5 stars based on 5 consumer reviews below.

Please Note: There are number of different companies/manufacturers with similar names and this can be confusing. Here are links

EcoGuard™ Cost: $$$/$$$$
(3/4 out of 5)

EcoGuard™ Windows

The EcoGuard™ can be ordered as a single hung, sliding window, casement, fixed frame, and several specialty shapes. It also comes as a door in the following styles: French, Sliding, and Bi-Fold door, as well as a Garage door (I've never window/door manufacturer offer a garage door, kind of cool.)

In each of the different window styles (single hung, casement, etc.) the company offers the EcoGuard™ in three different options or levels - so for instance, the sliding window can be ordered in the 60 Series, the 200 Series, or the 250 Series. In truth, I don't know the specific differences between these different levels.

"I don't hear much about Eco Window Systems and their EcoGuard™ series. Certainly they have a lot of competition with PGT, CWS, and all of the other manufacturers who sell impact windows in the state."

Confused By The Process

Hey Dane, I found your site by googling Eco windows reviews. But now I’m a little confused on what I’ve actually gotten a bid on. I believe the company was called Eco Window systems and we’re here in Florida. Does this make sense? Is Eco windows systems the same as Eco windows?

[Site Editor's Answer]

Johnny, we originally made the page for the search term Eco windows reviews. However, this turned out to be a bit of a misnomer. It turns out that there are a number of companies that have very similar names, which makes for a confusing consumer experience. There’s EcoSky, which is what is used by Mad City. ( Mad City Windows And Bath Reviews ).

Then there is Eco Windows systems which is a Florida base company and they make a final window I believe.

Then there is Eco view windows as well. So yes, this is a commonly confusing topic. So it’s important to understand if you’re getting a bid from Eco Windows systems, EcoSky, or Ecoview windows. All three are different companies. Regardless of the brand you’re getting a bid on, please send it my way, and I’m happy to give you my unbiased opinion. Thanks.

Eco Windows Reviews

I just found a review that you wrote back in 2019. It was on the Eco windows and you mentioned that their "U-factor VT, and condensation resistance numbers were not all that great." Below is your response to someone who wrote in for advice. Please let me know if this is still the way you feel, as I am seriously considering ECO. Thank You.

BTW, these will be installed near salt water. Not on the beach, but on an inside canal that is salt water. Thanks so much for your opinion.

Don, I went back and looked at the nfrc.org website for Eco Windows, LLC instead of Eco Window Systems, LLC. (These corporate names can get confusing.) So the Eco Window Systems had some nice energy efficiency numbers, while I hold with my original statement that the casement numbers on the Eco Window Systems, LLC (which seems to sell thermally broken windows) were more or less horrible.

Other than what I found on the nfrc.org website, I have no additional information on these companies or their windows. There's just not that much out there on them. I wish I knew more!

Eco Windows Systems

Hello Dane, I am in the process to quote replacement for about 14 windows. I got a quote for PGT which was extremely expensive. I still have doubts about expending about 10% of the cost of the house on windows. I was referred by a friend to a company called Eco Windows Systems. Do you have any comments about the company?

Francyne, I don't know a ton about Eco, although I have seen a few of their windows. I thought they had a somewhat bulky frame to them with a big bottom sash. Besides that, I don't know any more. PGT and CWS are the two companies I would recommend in Florida so get a bid from CWS and see how it compares. Ask for a bid on their most popular mid range vinyl window and let them know your budget beforehand and see if this helps.

The other option is Simonton. They make good middle of the road vinyl windows that work well and won't break the bank. Find a Simonton dealer in your area and get a bid on one of their mid range vinyl windows. Hopefully, you can find a bid from one of these sources that works and is in your price range. You will find that there is a huge variation in cost so keep looking.

Eco Window Systems vs PGT Windows

ECO Windows vs PGT Windows for a single family home in Florida. Both are reputable in Florida and the prices seem to be competitive. My concern is quality and customer service. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

[Site Editor's Response]

Damian, I know virtually nothing about Eco Windows, so I can't comment much on them. However, I did look them up on the nfrc.org website, which lists performance numbers from hundreds of window companies. I'm assuming that Eco Windows is Eco Window Systems, LLC (but this isn't necessarily right, that's how confusing the window industry can be...) Assuming they are this company, their U-factor VT, and condensation resistance numbers were pretty much deplorable. The best number I could find on their casement was a .67 U-factor, .25 visible transmittance, and 20 CR.

As far as PGT windows goes, I find their windows very high quality, good performers and very price competitive. If it were me, I'd go with a proven brand like PGT any day of the week. As for Eco, I will continue to look at them and try to get some additional information on them. I don't like to rush to judgement on any company.
