Colorado Replacement Windows

Hi, I live at 7300 ft in Colorado and was curious of your recommended list of window types. Currently, we have quotes from Renewal by Anderson and Apex Insignia. Anderson recommended the full frame replacement method and Apex went with the less expensive insert based installation method in their quotes.

However, we are going with dark bronze exterior option with white interior and want to replace trim on interior to refresh the look. The current windows are 35 years old and there are some places where replacing blocking seems warranted because of damage and rot. So, any advice on window brands and install methods would be appreciated! Thanks!

[Site Editor's Answer]

Brian, here are my Colorado recommendations: (my advise would be to collect enough free bids to feel confident in terms of whether full frame or insert installation is the best option based on the differing opinions of the companies...) Sometimes, it's a tricky one to answer, but hopefully you will get there! I do like Apex Energy Solutions though and certainly think it is worth a bid. Lately, they have been using Champion windows, which is a step up from the Alside windows that they were using prior to this
