My Take On This Company: I love the great reviews that JDI generates. However, I’m still not convinced on the Altius Windows. I’ve never heard of them and the list of features wasn’t all that impressive. Therefore, I’m saving my judgement on these guys for a bit.

What They Sell

JDI sells a line of windows and patio doors called Altius. Truthfully, I have never heard of this brand. However, the description and features didn’t fill me with a whole lot of confidence.

JDI Windows Warranty

JDI Windows provides a 20 year labor and product warranty to their customers. The warranty is transferable and their Altius windows and doors come with a lifetime warranty that they are free from manufacturing defects.

Thanks Dane, here are the 3 quotes I have. The hand written one is from an older guy who founded JDI windows 30 years ago. He only carries the Simonton Daylight Max and won’t be making commission on the project. If you can read it. It’s about $10k. My biggest concern with the daylight max is how well sealed they are. I’d hope they are not drafty like our 30 year old, builder grade windows. But without physically seeing them I can’t know for sure.

Just seeing the bids doesn't really break anything down for me. What about getting a bid from these guys -- Zen Windows Denver - their reviews are great and they (should) sell Soft-Lite windows, which are very good quality. If you at least got the bid from the Zen, then I think I might have a better idea if the Daylight bid is fair.
