Paramount Builders Lawsuit
From my research, Paramount Builders of Virginia has not been involved in any lawsuits. However, the issue here is that there are a number of U.S. based companies that have this same name (including Paramount Construction in Los Angeles). This latter company does seem to have been involved in a number of lawsuits for both violations of the clean water act and workplace conditions. However, let me restate, my research has not indicated any Paramount Builders lawsuits from the company based out of Virginia (and in Jacksonville, Florida). Also, I will continue to monitor this in case anything does come to my attention in the future.

"In 2025 the company quoted me on 17 windows and their pricing was really competitive and a neighbor of mine had them do his job without incident. So I went with them. Big mistake. They came out two weeks after I called, took my down payment and then I didn’t hear from them in like 6 weeks. Just radio silence. When they came out to do the job, it was sloppy. They said they were incredibly busy and it seemed like they just rushed through the job. There was an issue with several of the windows and it took another two months before they came back out and finished up. Just kinda unprofessional. The windows nice looking now, but I wouldn’t go with this company if I had to do it all over again."

"Dear Sir, Home Depot window and sliding door replacement just gave me a price quote. I was wondering if you might be able to help me know if it is reasonable. I chanced upon your website while doing a search for the meaning of UI in the given quote. The HD price quote was $12,302 for Simonton 6100 series double hung (coastal) windows, 3 are W35 x H62, 4 are 35 x 61, 3 bathroom windows (obscure glass full) 25 x 25.75, one kitchen window 36 x 37, a half round 72 x 36. Also, a panel slider 72 x 37, and patio doors narrow frame 71.25 x 79.5."
"Further, they said single hungs are going to be same price as or even more (which cannot be true, unless I'm mistaken) than the double hung. The single hung being what I have had in my home built in 2002, zip code of 32244. Also, I thought I did the window price quote form on your site when I was there but I will do it again just to make sure. Lastly, I have already talked to Paramount Builders, but will contact the other two as well. Thanks again."

Editor's Advice:
Frank, not a terrible price, but I think you need more bids to compare this with. PGT makes a quality window, as does Custom Window Systems. Also, I would also look for an independent Simonton dealer. One unfortunate note: I have heard that PGT and CWS lead times are quite long due to the recent demand and supply chain issues during COVID.
This is where I would start if I were you in Jacksonville, plus whatever bids you receive through our site. Honestly, I think you can get a better quality vinyl window at what I hope is a better price. Send me what you get and let's go from there!
