Ingrid, while predicting dealer prices is VERY difficult (they provide the price quote, not the manufacturer), i would say that PGT is approximately 15% to 20% higher than CWS. Additionally, PGT tends to be one of the more expensive impact window brands on the market. Often, a bit overpriced in my opinion if Iām being honest.

"Hi Dane, happy new year! I came across your site while researching my residential window replacement project in Tallahassee FL. I entered info on your site to get three quotes, but the tool might not be nuanced enough, because I'm dividing between 8 fixed picture windows and 7 single hungs, and between 4 high-impact and 11 regular, as shown below using PGT product numbers.
I'm pretty sure I want PGT product. I thought CWS (from Ocala) as an option but I've heard they went out of business. Also, someone suggested Perfexion by Norandex as an alternative but I've yet to research them. I hope this helps you steer the opportunity to interested companies."

Fred, I think the basic approach of collecting your price bids and then going over them laid out to compare apples-to-apples is the right one. Further, I think that PGT, CWS and Norandex are all good options (Norandex is a a bit of a step down in quality from the other two). I had not heard that CWS is going out of business and I will be giving them a call later today to find out. Additionally, here are some other Florida window options that may be available to you.
