My Take On This Company: While Thermal Quality Windows And Doors generates excellent reviews on Google local search, it isn’t quite clear to me the overall quality of their windows and doors. I would prefer to see some consumer reviews and price quotes before I formally endorse the company.

Thermal Quality Windows And Doors Product Overview

What windows and doors does Thermal Quality Windows And Doors sell? The company manufactures their own line of windows and doors. However, there is no posted performance data on their products. Further, I checked on the nfrc.org website, and Thermal Quality Windows And Doors is not listed despite the company making reference to the site on their own website.

In terms of their doors, the company offers both steel and fiberglass doors. Unfortunately, there is nothing more specific posted on their website.

Thermal Quality Warranty Information

What is Thermal Quality Windows And Doors warranty terms? The company claims that they offer the best warranty in the window and door industry. It includes a lifetime warranty on their both their products, as well as on labor. Further, the warranty is non-prorated for as long as the original buyer owns their home. However, this is the extent of the warranty details on the company websites.

For instance, it doesn’t include pertinent information on the transferability of the warranty and how long it protects these subsequent owners. The bottom line is that I’d like to have some additional information before I formally endorse or give the thumbs down to their warranty. I do love the lifetime labor provision for the original buyer. Scroll down to read all of our Thermal Quality Windows And Doors reviews.

Pennsylvania Replacement Windows

Hello from Southeastern Pennsylvania. trying to find affordable solution for double pane double hung replacement windows. I was going to go with viwinko, but have also considered paradigm. I also inquired about Okna, but their quote was more than double Viwinco and Paradigm.

What is your opinion or can you send me a list of Windows that provide the best bang for the buck? Also, I'm planning on getting another price quote from Thermal Quality, although they make their own window so I'm not sure if this is good or not. Any information you have on these people would be most appreciated.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Dave, happy to send you my list. Viwinco and Paradigm are both good brands. Okna is a great brand of windows and doors, but not worth 2x in my opinion. Additionally, I have heard of Thermal Quality Windows And Doors, but I honestly don't know enough about them to give you a well reasoned argument for or against. However, I do think you have two great brands to consider and I would go with the installation company that generates the best cumulative online reviews. (My list walks through how to verify this).

Competing Window Reviews

Hi Dane, been reading your advice. Window Nation windows quoted us $17,000 for 13 double hung vinyl windows … Vytex Georgetown windows. We told them we were going to get other bids. They then dropped to $14,000. Still think this is high. Not sure if Georgetown windows are that great.

Live in Allentown, PA. Our house was built in 1999. Thinking of a bid from Thermal Quality Windows - do you know them? Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. I do hear good things about Thermal Quality Windows And Doors, but I don't understand what it is that they sell exactly - windows and doors specifically. Get your bids, send them to me and let's go from there!

Jan, the Window Nation cost bid does sound high, but I think two or three more bids will tell you whether or not that’s true. Here is my list of good and great windows for you to take a look at and let me know if you have any additional questions.

Thermal Quality Cost Quotes

Dane, I think I just your youtube presentation on 5 tips for window replacement. So far, I have received three quotes. One from Renewal By Andersen and one from Provia installer in our local area. I am considering a Provia local installer and also a bid from a company that does Thermal Quality Windows And Doors. What do Thermal Quality Windows And Doors cost on average? Would you have time to review these bid as it is substantial for replacing 25 windows and one slider.

Sami, sorry for the delay in getting back to you -- I've been slammed with work. I am more than happy to help look at your bids, however I no longer open attachments due to a computer virus FIASCO from a couple of years back. However, if you want to sum up the Renewal By Andersen, ProVia windows price quote and the Thermal Quality quotes for me, I'd be more than happy to give you my honest opinion on what makes most sense for your sitaution

Thermal Quality Windows Reviews

Hi Dane - we’re finishing our basement windows and wanted to replace 2 steel frame single pane windows with sliders. They measure 12.75” vertical x 31.75” horizontal. As a keen reader of your forum here, I knew Okna’s were the way to go. We have 2 local dealers here in Southern Pennsylvania, and I called them both about pricing the job. Dealer #1 said he required a 6 window minimum to even come out. Dealer #2 came out and gave us an estimate, but upon arriving said they required a 3-window minimum.

I tried to entice them by stating that this would be an audition for replacing the rest of our 22 double-hung windows within the next 3 years. They didn’t budge.

Dealer #2 showed me Okna's 600 series window and then nearly made me vomit with the price: $7,212 to replace 2 basement windows with sliders and one smaller double hung window (to meet the 3 window requirement)! Then he “called his supervisor” and said he could do the deal today for $4,000 if I paid cash. Given the pricing I’ve seen on here for around $500 per Okna 500 series window installed, I was flabbergasted and let him know that I “knew the market” and that I couldn’t understand his price when Renewal by Andersen quoted me $3,000 to only do the 2 basement sliders. Wow!

To make matters worse, I called the Okna Factory in Pennsylvania to see if I could buy windows from them and have someone else install them. They quickly said that I’d have to work with my area dealers to purchase any windows. Well, my 2 options didn’t work out. One wouldn't come out for a small job and the other tried to rob me.

We ended up going with Thermal Quality double hung windows double panes and insulated frames for $650 each, or $1,300 for the entire job - installed by a father and son team who have installed a lot of these and have not have any problems with them. They also use foam around the frames and make sure they’re installed right.

Thermal Quality Windows Complaints

I still have eight of the original Thermal Quality windows that were installed maybe a dozen years ago, and every one of them has either locks that are now broken or failed seals. We’ve already replaced four of the original 13 but ecause I’ve had additional work done over the years, replacing them all wasn't in our budget.

At the time of purchase, I was given a 50-year warranty that was supposed to include any "manufacturing defects". However, two window seals failed less than a year later and the owner said the manufacturer had gone out of business so I was completley SOL. They said they'd replace them for more or less the price we paid for them, which is like, what good is a warranty if your warranty price is the same as starting from scratch??? Just not happy.

At any rate, we are still with windows that are fogged up and I've been posting this on any website I find. Please post for others to see!

Johnathon, I will certainly post your experience on our Thermal Quality Windows And Doors Reviews page for other consumers to see. I believe the company has recently pivoted to selling their own line of replacement windows and doors, but it isn't clear how well they perform. If you do get any information from the company, please pass it along so that we might update our information. If there is anything I can do to help out, do met me know.
