Windows Direct USA is an Ohio based installation company that specializes in windows, doors, and bath remodels. The company began in 2014 (so a relative newcomer in the replacement window space). WD-USA is structured as a franchise (independently owned branches that all sell the same line of replacement windows and doors - similar to a Renewal By Andersen). There are currently several franchise locations within Ohio and Kentucky, but I expect this number to increase.

Windows Direct Windows And Doors

The company sells the entire fleet of Sunrise Windows, from the entry level Essentials series through to the premium Restorations and Vanguard series. (The standard Sunrise, which has no series name, is considered a high quality vinyl window.) Please note: Sunrise is now owned by MI and the new-ish labeling system is quite different than before. The Sunrise Restorations now goes by the label MI V4500, Vanguard goes by the label MI V4000, etc.

"We live near Roanoke, Virginia and had new windows installed through Lowe's last year. We had a bunch of problem and brought in two contractors that inspected the work and said the installation was subpar. It looked fine on the surface, but once the exterior trim came off, the problems were easy to spot. Both contractors asked if we'd noticed any water getting into the house. Fortunately we haven't, but we do have serious drafts whenever the wind picks up, so something clearly isn't right.

So far we've received quotes on Ply Gem and Atrium windows, although we're not too excited about Atrium since that's what was installed before. 24 windows - Ply Gem Premium $18,000 and Atrium 8300 $15,600. Windows Direct offered Simonton Reflections 5500 and that was $19,600."

Bradley, that’s a shame about the work done by the Lowe’s subcontractors. I would say that the Simonton Reflections 5500 series is your best bet in this situation, followed by the Ply Gem Premium option. How is your Windows Direct branch reputation and online reviews? This would be a very big factor for me.

Jason, sounds like the prices are all in that same general range. I would definitely choose the Sunrise Restoration for $1K more over the other two options. There is way more value here in the Restorations and I head good things about Windows Direct USA. I think any of these bids would work, but the Restorations option would be my pick.
