Alpine 70 Series Price Quote

Hello Dane, first off thank you for your time. I am a new home owner in Northridge Ca and looking to replace 12 windows and 1 slider door. I received 3 quotes by 2 contractors. The Anlin and Simonton price are pretty close to each other but the Alpine is $4,000 less.

Anlin Del Mar (12 windows) single sliders
1 anlin Malibu door
$12,500

Simonton daylightMax
Anlin Malibu sliding door
$12,000

Alpine 70 series (A272) windows
Alpine (172) sliding door
Total $8500

Anlin and Simonton definitely have the better warranty with a lifetime warranty including accidental glass break replacement and labor. but is the $4k difference really worth it? From the 3 options what would you go with?

Elmer, the price difference is tricky. It's more than I would expect between the Alpine and the Anlin. The Simonton quote is too high, given that Anlin makes the better windows over Simonton.

Personally, I would be wary of using Alpine, which is basically an Associated Materials company, like Alside Windows and Revere. I don't feel like they offer enough long term value to justify buying them unless you are flipping a house or renting a house or if your timeline for moving is 10 years or less.

Otherwise, I would consider the Anlin quote to be the winner over the Simonton.

You could also try a quote from Milgard and see where they are price wise. If they are $11,500 for instance you could go back to Anlin and see if they will match the price.
