Viwinco Windows Price List Edgemont Series
The Edgemont is their entry level vinyl replacement series. It utilizes a thinner frame than the Cambridge, which does allow for more glass, but at the expense of some overall strength and energy efficiency. The Edgemont uses single strength Solarban 60 low-e glass, argon fills, and an Intercept spacer. In addition, it has a beveled fusion-welded frame, constant-force balance system, true sloped sill, single cam lock, and a roll form screen.
Performance wise, the Edgemont double hung with a low-e glass delivers a .29 U-value, visible light transmittance of .38, SHGC of .20, condensation resistance of 58, and an air infiltration of .14. The air leakage is not so impressive, but the other numbers are just fine. I'd compare this window to say the Great Lakes Bayshore Series.

Hi Dane, I found your website incredibly helpful while researching replacement windows. We're planning to replace all of the original windows in our Pennsylvania home, which were installed back in the 1980s. So far, we've gathered several quotes from companies that all seem to have strong local reputations.
The project includes 23 replacement windows, 20 of which are double hungs with colonial grids.
Since Ideal and Okna are both somewhat smaller manufacturers compared to the national brands, I'm trying to determine which option represents the best long-term investment. I don't necessarily want to choose the cheapest quote, but a savings of several thousand dollars is certainly worth considering if the quality difference isn't substantial.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Christina - Homeowner - from 2026
Editor's Advice:
Christina, for me, the Ideal Platinum and Okna 500 are very close in terms of overall quality, craftsmanship, and long-term performance. As is often the case, however, the Ideal Platinum series tends to come in at a much more attractive price point.
Assuming the company selling and installing the Ideal windows has solid reviews and a good local reputation, that would likely be my choice. You're getting a premium vinyl window while saving more than $5,000 compared to the Okna bid.
If your expected timeline in the home is ten years or less, then the ViWinTech Edgemont becomes a compelling value option. In that scenario, I would be inclined to save the money and go with the lower-priced quote.
The Cambridge is the company's upgraded replacement window from the entry level Edgemont. The Cambridge is Viwinco's best known window series. The Cambridge has a stronger and durable frame than the Edgemont model, as well as several nice upgrades. Standard features on the Viwinco Cambridge include low-e double strength glass, the Intercept spacer, a fusion-welded frame, a true sloped sill, argon gas fills, a constant force balance, and an extruded half screen.
Performance wise, consumers can expect the double hung with low-e glass and fills to deliver a .29 U-factor, DP35, .19 SHGC, .11 AI, and 57 Condensation Resistance. Pretty good numbers to be honest.
All in all, not a bad vinyl replacement option, a pretty solid second tier product. I think given the right price point, it's something homeowners should certainly consider.

Viwinco Cambridge vs Window World 6000
I'm replacing 11 windows total — eight medium-sized windows and three bedroom windows. I've gathered several estimates and the pricing varies quite a bit between companies.
Window Company
Total Quote Installed
Window World 6000
$8,270
Viwinco Cambridge
$8,400
Castle Windows
$9,600
Renewal by Andersen
$24,000
The lower three bids are relatively close together, but the Renewal by Andersen estimate is in an entirely different price category. Does the higher-priced option offer enough additional value to justify the cost?

ViWinco Cambridge Price Bid vs. Interstate Compositwood 9800
We have 30 windows that need some serious replacing. We are on the East Coast in Virginia. Are is what I have so far.
Wayne, I don't hear much about Interstate so I would personally pass on them. The Viwinco Cambridge is a sort of middle of the road vinyl window. Are there better options out there, yes. Should you probably get a couple more bids to round out these offerings, yes. Interstate Windows Reviews
Of the three bids here, though, I would go with the Viwinco Cambridge series.

ViWinco Cambridge Pricing vs Renewal By Andersen
I have 4 estimates on 8 windows (all 36 inch by 59 inch), 1 smaller bathroom window, and 1 bow window (3 windows mulled together).
Please compare and rate Ideal Majestic windows with Viwinco Cambridge. Installer is quoting $1,300 more for 11 windows ($2,900 vs $4,200). We had 19 replaced seven years ago with Viwinco and are very pleased with them.

[Site Editor's Answer]
Bill, I would probably put these two windows in the same category; these are both the mid range vinyl windows in each company's line up. Those are excellent prices you were quoted. If you like the Viwinco and are pleased with their durability and performance, then I don't see why you wouldn't go with them again. Assuming that the installation team is as thorough as they were last time, you should be well served.

The OceanView impact window is made for coastal applications that require a more robust and durable option. This hurricane-resistant window comes standard with laminated glass (a .90" interlayer thickness), a beveled frame, aluminum reinforced sill, tilt and lock on the hung windows, a constant force balance, a true sloped sill, and an upgraded extruded screen.
Performance wise, the Viwinco Oceanview series delivers a DP50 rating and an STC rating of 34. The Edgemont double hung with a low-e glass delivers a .28 U-value, visible light transmittance of .36, SHGC of .20, and a condensation resistance of 59. The double hung achieves an air infiltration of .13, while the single hung has a much more impressive .05 AI.
All in all, the Oceanview window is a good pick for consumers who want a mid range impact window without breaking the bank. The window is close, but not quite up to par, as say the PGT WinGuard Impact Series.

Peter, I kind of consider these windows to be the same quality — roughly speaking. If I felt comfortable with the Simonton company doing the work, I would probably go with the Stormbreaker Plus and save the money. Normally I see the Simonton bids a bit higher than say ViWinco. But because these windows are roughly equal to one another, I would go with the Simonton myself.
We are looking to replace 4 picture windows & 1 single hung for our Florida condo. All are impact windows.
VinWinTech Shoreline Cost Bid: $6565
VinWinCo OceanView Cost Bid: $8344

Ocean View Window vs. Pella 350 Series
Hi Dane, we have three quotes on 4 windows and 4 8' patio sliding doors. We are close to the ocean so we need something that can hold up to the harsh conditions. None of the prices include installation. We have our own contractor who has been doing this for 20 years and he charges $75 an hour.
Nancy, the Viwinco is not a bad impact series, but I tend to think of it as ideal for more budget-conscious projects. The Pella window bid is just too high, especially in relationship to the PGT. The PGT 5570 is the clear winner, but I definitely think you can negotiate this price and see if they will come down on the quote.
