Overall Rating: Aspen Home Improvement gets a 4.1 out of 5 stars based on 2 consumer reviews below.

My Take On This Company: Aspen Home Improvement just recently hit my radar so I’m not sure I’m the best person to make this judgement. However, I love that they sell the Okna windows and doors. Going forward, I hope to better understand the company and the quality of their home services.

What They Sell

AHI is an authorized dealer for Okna Windows And Doors, which are some of the best vinyl windows in the business (they also make one of the best composite window in the Starmark series). From my perspective, you just can’t go wrong with Okna as a brand.

Warranty Information

Aspen Home Improvement offers a lifetime labor and product warranty to the original buyer. This includes accidental glass breakage, which is a great feature to have. Additionally, the warranty is transferrable, although the company website does not spell out how long the second owner is covered for. (Often 10, 15, or 20 years from the date of purchase.)

The product warranty always comes from the manufacturer themselves. Luckily, Okna has one of the best window warranty in the business. Click here for our replacement windows warranty page that includes the Okna warranty details (along with most major window and door manufacturers.)

Aspen Home Improvement Reviews

My replacement windows are older -- double hung 30 wide by 62.5 tall top window with 6 pane, 1935/1945 building I have an installer family friend and am looking to purchase and have delivered - so no installation. What are high quality vinyl windows in the central Pennsylvania area 50/ miles or further? I know about like Anderson vs Pella Windows, but they all want to sell you on nothing for triple the actual price of the windows. And when they are done you’re left the widow and a prayer. Sorry just at wits end! I would appreciate some advice . Thank you.

Edwin, yes, the window industry can be very frustrating to be sure. So I can send you some potential options, but buying DIY can be a bit of a pain. Most manufacturers won't sell to the consumer. You are probably better off going and checking out Home Depot windows and seeing what they have. Also, you might want to get one of two actual bids just to see what a local company in your area would charge. One company that I know of in your neck of the woods, Aspen Home Improvement, they carry Okna windows and I have heard that Okna dealers will occasionally sell the windows directly to the consumer. Illl send you the number -- good luck!

Pennsylvania Historic Replacement Windows

Dane, hey, we’re looking for recommendations for a company/contractor to replace and install high quality windows and entry doors in our home that is a bit long in the tooth and is due for new windows. We're in Pennsylvania and the house is in a historic district with specific guidelines, so experience working on older homes is important. Any suggestions for us? We’re considering getting quotes from Andersen, Aspen Home, Zephyr, and Pella. Thanks in advance for your advice!

Stephanie, if you're in a historic district, there may be very specific guidelines for replacement windows and doors. I will tell you that Aspen Home Improvements installs Okna vinyl windows, which may not fit the (historic designation) bill. Ironically, if you were to upgrade the interior and exterior color of say the 800 series, you could make them look nearly identical to real wood and they would last a heck of a lot longer than actual wood windows (organic materials like wood simply can't hold up to the expansion contraction over decades). Andersen and Pella Windows are gorgeous, but very pricey and they do require maintenance. My understanding is that Zephyr Thomas carries ProVia, which are also awesome vinyl windows. I think the first order of business is to find out what requirements exist for the historic district designation. Once you know this, let's circle back and drill down on your options. Good luck!
