Omaha Replacement Windows

Hi Dane, I have gotten bids to replace the windows in our home (6 casements and 6 sliders), and 2 patio sliding doors from multiple companies (4 to be exact). In fact, I got a bid from Renewal by Andersen that was close to double ($47,000) what the others were so I ruled them out. Furthermore, I didn't like the fact that they put conditions on their estimating process-ALL homeowners have to be there, you have to agree to give them 60-90 minutes of your time, and they push for you to make a decision on the spot.

Additionally, I looked at Simonton Windows. Specifically, the rep in our area is Home Depot. Their bid was about 25% higher ($28,000), than the final 2. As wel, the other part of my concern with them is that they use sub contractors and not their own employees so may not have control of the installation? I am down to deciding between 2 and I'd like your opinion. Both companies have given me bids that are virtually the same (about $22,000). Lastly, I've checked reviews of both companies and they both seem to have good reviews. The 2 are as follows:

Discount Windows and Doors of Omaha - Soft-Lite Imperial Elite
Full Armour Windows and Doors of Omaha - ProVia Endure

[Site Editor's Answer]

Charity, both of the windows are excellent. Both companies get awesome reviews. However, I would probably choose the SoftLite Imperial Elite over the Endure. Not by a lot, but that would be my pick. Since the companies both have such great reviews, then that's not a factor. Ultimately, I say Soft-Lite over ProVia Endure by a hair.
