Jantek Windows Reviews

I'm replacing two picture windows, large ones with three windows per opening. We got 4 estimates, all of them Energy Star qualified. One was from Champion, but we took them out of consideration. The sales pitch was sleazy with a big price, but then discounts and incentives to pressure us into signing something right away.

Jantek is a possibility, they make their own windows and I can only find one complaint with the BBB. The sales presentation and price were both reasonable. Home Depot gave us a quote about $1000 more but they install Simonton 6500. I'm not sure how they compare. The other quote we looked at was for Gorells but I've been seeing some complaints about the company so we probably aren't going with them. It's really confusing, there is a lot of information out there and some of it contradicts others.

Update: I ended up going with Jantek. I was able to talk to a few people with their windows and they were all happy with them. The install was fast and uncomplicated, and they are local so the guy has actually stopped by a couple of times to check on them. Our electric bills dropped noticeably and the price for the windows actually ended up being lower than the estimate.

Reliable Customer Service

Jantek is a pretty reliable company, with a decent product and good customer service. To me, their top selling point is that they make vinyl inswing sliders. As far as I know there's only one other company making them, and I really like that window style.
