Who They Are: PEWC is a family owned replacement window and door company that is headquartered in Brighton, Michigan. They service all of metro Detroit, as well as southeastern Michigan and the greater Lansing region.

What They Sell: According to their own website, PEWC sells PureCore vinyl windows. I honestly don't know enough about PureCore to make a real assessment here. I know in the first review below, the company must also be a Sunrise dealer, which is a well regarded company in the replacement vinyl space. Sunrise was purchased in 2021 by MI, which has not touched the factory that makes Sunrise, although the naming now reflects the new change in ownership. So, for instance, the Sunrise Vanguard is now referred to as the MI Sunrise V4000 series.

Styles: PEWC offers the following window styles: double-hungs, casements, awnings, sliders, bay bows, picture, garden, and specialty shaped windows. A pretty standard line up of options.

Hi there, we have spoken with only one salesperson so far. The bid is for 12 double hung Sunrise windows plus one large picture window. The company is Pure Energy Windows, a highly rated seller/installer in Michigan. The price of $15,480 with tax. The salesperson said they are Sunrise's top window and that only they are able to get this version from the manufacturer. He referred to them as the Platinum line. Triple pane, foam filled insulation, and the installers will fill the old weight chambers with foam. He was critical of many other brands because they use a plasticizer in the PVC for cheaper manufacturing, but these are unplasticized PVC. (Sunrise Windows Reviews)

It seems like a good company and a good window with good installation, but I'm not sure about the price. I presume prices have increased in 2023. (Labor Cost To Install Windows)

David, for me, anything over $1K per window calls for additional bids. You might have project specifics that warrant that price, but you'll never really know unless you get a couple more bids. MI Windows makes a great series, but there are lots of other companies that do as well.
