Warranty Information
SouthGate offers a 20 year labor warranty on all of their work. Therefore, if you experience any issues related to a manufacturing defect or installation error, the company will either repair or replace the defective products (after an initial inspection) free of charge. This includes the cost of labor to replace window(s). Unfortunately, this warranty is not transferrable to a subsequent homeowner and applies to the original buyer only.
A separate product warranty covers any manufacturing product defects. This one comes from the manufacturer themselves. And because the company reps so many brands, the timelines, provisions, and exclusions will vary by product. We’ve listed most of the brands that the company sells on this page if you want to dive deeper into what you are and are not eligible for. Please note that warranty terms do change over time and it’s important to read the latest warranty on the brand you plan to install.

Sacramento, California Window Quotes
We replaced all the original windows in our 1980s house last summer and went with SouthGate Glass using the Milgard Trinsic series (they offered several others but this fit our budget and goals best). The project included two largish picture windows, two large double-hungs, three medium sliders, one large wide double slider, and two sliding patio doors with a French-style frame. Total replacement windows cost was around $1345k, including all the permits and the cost of window installation.
Overall, I’m really happy with how everything turned out. The installation was super clean, and they even added a nice door casing and trim, which was a nice bonus.
We got quotes from a few other companies too, including Northwest Exteriors and River City Windows, before choosing SouthGate. If we hadn’t gone with them, we probably would’ve picked Superior Windows. Kevin (I believe) did the measuring and the bid for Superior, and he was incredibly knowledgeable.
Pricing was similar across the board, and I had total confidence he would’ve done great work. In the end, Superior just barely lost out due to a few small preferences — and honestly, I really wanted the Trinsic series because of the narrow look while still offering solid performance

Hi Dane, I’ve been reading your website for a few months now and am finally ready to pull the trigger. Curious if I could get your list of recommended windows to help my search. We’re outside of Sacramento just fyi and aren't looking to spend huge amounts of money, but we do want to get some good value for our money.

Harry, I am happy to send you my list. FYI, if you’re close to Sacramento, there are some good options out your way. Three options that come to mind include Dicks Rancho Glass, SouthGate Glass and Northwest Exteriors. You may want to start here and see where you get. Additionally, window brands worth pursuing include Anlin and Milgard. These are the two that come to mind. Anlin vs Norandex
Hi, we are in the process of looking at a dozen and a half double hung replacement windows that have good sound reduction properties and that are energy efficient. We have identified the Anlin Panorama windows (Southgate) and the Norandex Perfexion Platinum windows (local dealer) as the two best options for us. Can you help us make a decision? Thank you.

Franky, the Perfexion Platinum window is a good one, but the Anlin Panorama is a very good window. The Anlin Panorama is the clear winner head-to-head in this scenario.
