Company Information: Power Home Remodeling is headquartered in Chester, Pennsylvania, although they have branches in many urban and city centers across the United States. The company provides a number of home services, including replacement windows, siding, and roofing.

What They Sell: Powerhrg sells an NBP window, as well as the Pella Symphony series. (NBP stands for Northeast Building Products, another Pennsylvania based company - read all of our Northeast Building Products reviews here.)

The Nature Of Complaints: Just because consumers vent about a particular company, doesn't mean the company is bad or that their business practices are suspect. So please take what is posted below with a grain of salt. However, if the complaints seem genuine (we scrutinize every review we receive to make sure they are legit), then you might want to consider this when you are making a decision about which company to go with on your next home improvement project. Cheers.

Issues With Power Windows

Dane, we used power home remodeling group to replace our windows four years ago and I haven’t really been that impressed. We’ve had some issues with the balance and how the windows operate. I just don’t feel as if the series they sold us were real high-quality windows.

[Site Editor's Answer]

Avery, I’m really sorry to hear this. Power HRG generally gets pretty good reviews I would say. But I have to agree that their window series that they sell are nowhere near my top 50 vinyl windows in general. I would certainly call them up and ask them if they could come out and service whatever issues you’re having.

I’m not sure what their labor warranty is, but you certainly should not be experiencing problems with the window in year four. When you do call them up, let me know what they say, and how they handle the issues, so I can keep my users apprised of how they handle problems with their products.

Powerhrg Complaints

Power gave us a bid during the early part of 2023 and the sales guy was straight up not good. He didn't seem to know his own product. I had read about air infiltration and U-value on this site so I asked him about it and he said he would have to get back to me on those. Really, you don't know your own numbers??? Then we asked about how they install the windows and he was pretty vague about the whole thing and frankly a little condescending - he might have just been nervous, I have no idea.

It just seemed like he had gotten the job last week - I almost felt sorry for him. Needless to say, we ended up not going with PHRG and going with Anlin windows instead. The Anlins were more expensive but seemed like the better window.
