Explore Mi Windows Prices and consumer cost quotes on the company's most popular windows and patio doors, including the V2000, V3000, V4000 (Sunrise Classic), V4550 (Sunrise Vanguard), and the V5550 (Sunrise Restorations). Scroll down for links to each window series, which contains a small write up of the window, along with a very basic price range.

My Take On Mi: Mi Windows And Doors has some excellent series these days, particularly the V4000 (and higher). Their more entry level options (the V2000 and V3000) are a pass for me, but the V4000, V4550, and the V5550 are all very strong contenders. Not cheap mind you, but excellent quality.

MI Windows V3500 Series Cost

The Mi 3500 series is the company's top selling vinyl window. Specifically, this is a relatively low end vinyl single-hung window that delivers pretty mediocre numbers, including U-value of 0.33, an SHGC of 0.21, and an STC of 28. There are definitely better options out there unless you are looking for a builder grade vinyl window.

MI 3540 Single Hung Windows Costs

Hello, we are replacing 12 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in our house in NE Florida. 10 of the windows are in block/stucco and 2 are in a wood frame.

We have a quote using CWS Aria horizontal sliders, MI 3540 single hung windows, and MI 1615 sliding doors for $9571.50. The second quote is for PGT HR5410 sliders and SH5400 single hung windows (not sure which sliding glass doors this quote includes) for $10,921.00.

Any advice on using CWS/MI vs. PGT products would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much.

Jessica - Homeowner - from 2017

[Site Editor's Answer]

Jessica, I like the second bid a lot more -- PGT makes a good window and sliding door, as does CWS I might add. MI on the other hand has a reputation as a low quality manufacturer and not a brand I would put in my own home.

I would much prefer you spend the extra $1400 and go with the PGT bid. I think it offers better long term value over the first bid.

That doesn't mean that you can't try and shave off some of the cost of the PGT bid though. Use that first bid as leverage to see how low that PGT dealer/company is willing to go for your business.

Here is an article that talks about how to do it.

Mi Windows Prices : V4000 Series

The Mi V4000 series is the Sunrise window that the company purchased back in 2021. The Sunrise Classic (as it was referred to) uses the same frame and many of the same components as the upgraded V4550 (Vanguard) and V550 (Restorations)

MI 4000 Series Cost

My husband and I have a bid on 24 Sunrise "classic" tilt windows for $23,500, and it comes with Ultra U Plus 12 glass. For an extra $100 per window, we can add the SolarClean self-cleaning glass option.

Our second bid was on I believe the MI 4000 Series, which was quoted out at $21,200

Finally, our last bid was on the Pella 250 window, which came out to $34,000.

MI Windows Cost Quote

Hi Dane, I came across your website and appreciate your help for homeowners. I submitted my contact info on your website and got quotes from a couple of companies. We have ten (10) double-hungs (6 34"x58" and 4 22"x58"). The following are quotes we have so far:

1) Victory Home Remodeling: $19,375.00; MI Victory Window

2) Power Home Remodeling: $11,893.30; ProVia (we were told that they use the 'Comfort Series' but did not see a 'Comfort Series' on ProVia website) PowerHRG Reviews

3) TAC Home Remodeling: $9,775.00; OKNA 500 series

4) Window World 4000 Series SolarZone Package: $7,846.00;

We also have a scheduled estimate from Castle Windows coming up.

Both Victory and Power offered today /on the spot prices lower than their 1-year prices I listed above. We did not feel that we could make a decision right away.

My questions are:

1) How good is Castle Windows?

2) What do you think of the quotes we have so far? The quoted prices seem to be high with inflation considered. A neighbor used the same contractor with OKNA 500 series and got replacement windows at about $560 per window installed about a year ago. What do you think about these quoted prices? For your info, we live in New Jersey.

3) if it is needed, we are willing to get more quotes, would you please give us some recommendations?

Our decisions on a couple of quotes are needed within a few days. We will appreciate it very much if you can respond to my email at your earliest convenience. Thank you very much for your help and all of your MI Windows reviews.

Sue - Homeowner - from 2022

[Website Editor Reply]

Sue, Castle makes a decent, but not great window. I'd toss the Victory quote as MI windows just can't compete. (See all of our Castle Windows reviews.) ProVia doesn't make a Comfort Series as far as I know. The ProVia Endure and ecoLite are both good series from them.

The real winning bid for me is the TAC Home Remodeling using the Okna 500 series. This is one of the best windows on the market and it's one of your least expensive bids. This would be the heavy favorite for me -- assuming the company gets good reviews / ratings.

As far as prices go, all bets are off these days. The Okna looks good in comparison, but I can't say whether it's a fair price or not. It probably is -- since you are in NJ, you should definitely get one more bid from Ideal. The Ideal Platinum 3000 series and Majestic series are comparable to the Okna 500 and sometimes their prices are fantastic!

MI Windows Cost

Dane & Tim, I've seen you give a lot of good advice on the website to folks looking at replacing windows. I've got a project with 19 double-hungs and 3 fixed windows in Raleigh, NC. We are planning to stay in the home long-term – this will be the first of 2 phases of window replacements (the future second phase will be about the same number, but with casement and fixed windows).

The general advice we have received is that, overall, we are better off going with a full replacement than a pocket window, despite the increased cost, due to having a 35+ year old house that has already had some rot issues with several windows.

Thus far I have received the following bids for Phase 1: Full Replacement Windows
Okna EnviroStar Full Replacement, Basic Heat Seal low-e glass w/ Argon (.27 u-factor, .29 SHGC) – $22,700
Sunrise Restorations Full Replacement, Omega 12-Interior Low E glass (.24 u-factor, .21 SHGC) – $38,989
MI Full Replacement Windows (.27 u-factor, .19 SHGC) – $27,518
Soft-Lite Imperial Elite Full Replacement Windows (.27 u-factor, .27 SHGC) - $27,687
Pocket/Insert Windows:
MI 1555/1650 Pocket Windows with LowE/Argon gas (.27 u-factor, .19 SHGC) – $18,380
Soft-Lite Imperial Elite Pocket Windows (.27 u-factor, .27 SHGC) - $19,987
Apex Energy Insignia Pocket Windows (triple-paned, .17 u-factor, .24 SHGC) - $18,400

Any thoughts or recommendations? Also, how big of a difference do you usually see in the u-factor values? We are seeing ranges from .2 to .3 and are wondering how much of a factor the differences should plan in our considerations (and whether we should be getting bids for triple-paned windows over the double-paned listed above). We currently have heat pump HVACs and definitely notice significantly higher heating bills versus our cooling bills.

Ryan - Homeowner - from 2021

[Site Editor's Answer]

Ryan, it does sound like the full frame replacement is the prudent approach based on the age of your home and the rot issues on some of the frames. So, with that being said, the cheapest full frame option is the Okna EnviroStar Full Replacement. I find this interesting because this is the best window on your list. Admittedly, the Sunrise Restorations and Soft-Lite Imperial Elite are both excellent windows, but the Okna EnviroStar is a truly excellent window with an unbeatable .01 air infiltration rating.

U-factors are important, but there are all kinds of ways that companies can kind of fudge those numbers, i.e. glass packages. The most important data for me is air infiltration, design pressure, and u-factor.

The Okna is the way to go here and the Raleigh NC installer has excellent reviews. It's a win win.

MI vs Okna

Considering either the MI 5500 or the Okna 700 series - roughly equal costs at $920 each. Love to get your take.

Sammy, both very good options here - I'd pick the one where the installation company has the better online ratings/reviews.

I have 24 double-hungs and have a couple of quotes from contractors.

a) MI-1650 Window Quote: $11,800

b) Atrium Series 40 Quote: $14,300

Frank - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Response]

Frank, MI windows are builder grade windows. Atrium makes a pretty decent window. I'd keep looking if I were you though - Okna, Sunrise Soft-Lite, and Polaris are all good brands that you should look at.

Tim - Site Editor - from 2016

MI 1650 Window Costs vs Jeld Wen 4500

We're in the middle of a renovation and our contractor is suggesting Mi or JELD WEN windows. The JELD WEN are quoted as $3,000 more than the Mi. Are the differences between the 2 brands great enough to justify the priced difference?

Amanda - Homeowner - from 2016

[Site Editor's Answer]

Amanda, Jeld Wen generally makes a better window than MI, but that's not saying much. MI doesn't make a good vinyl window. Jeld Wen makes okay vinyl windows, I like their wood windows with the auralast and their doors, but not so much their vinyl windows. If I were you I would ask him to get you a bid on some other window brands. See our recommended list for alternatives. Why pay a bunch of money to put in a mediocre to poor window? I'd prefer to see a Ply Gem Pro or a Simonton Prism Gold in there than your selections. He should have access to these brands.

Mi Windows Prices : Energy Core Series

The Energy Core series was one of the company's best and most efficient windows. Unfortunately, this vinyl window is no longer being made - however, we have still included several reviews and pricing information on the Energy Core series.

Dane - Site Editor

-- Estimated MI EnergyCore Price: $650 to $850 installed --
(assumes medium sized window and normal installation) *

MI EnergyCore Series Reviews

Hello Dane, I am looking to replace all 15 windows in my 1955-year house in Fort Worth/Dallas Texas area. I'm looking for a vinyl window that provides energy efficiency at an economical cost. I'm 59 years old and this is my forever home as far as I know.

Below are the quotes I have received for parts and installation. They all provide full warranty except M&M Door with their EC 4 window as shown below. What are your thoughts about this? Considering this price range, are there other windows I should be looking at? I will spend a little more to get a much better window .

VistaMark Endura 110 $14,000

NT Windows Presidential - $10,800

Window Universe Express / Revere Berkshire Elite $10,405

Statewide Energy Solutions / Texas Energy Pro $9,980 (They say they mfg their own window.)

M&M Door and Window is quoting EnergyCore EC4 White Vinyl 366 Low-E Argon for $7,3000

That is with lifetime warranty on windows and only ONE YEAR warranty on labor. But I am not sure who makes this Energy Core EC4 window. Here is a link to the vendor. Honestly, this cost is tempting. But the last thing I want is to make a costly mistake.

Greg - Homeowner - from 2022

[Website Editor Reply]

Greg, the EnergyCore is made by MI and is their top of the line window. Not a bad window, although I don't know all about it. The window I do know about is the NT Presidential series, which is a very good window. If this were my forever home, this would top my list...although I do agree that the EnergyCore bid is tempting. Plus M&M Door and Window has really good reviews, which makes me think you are in good hands.

To be honest, most of the labor warranty will happen within the first year anyway so their labor warranty is just fine -- once the windows go in and you are happy with them, then its year 12 t0 15 when you have issues. I'm not a big fan of MI, but I like the good reviews of the company and the EnergyCore should be roughly equivalent to the NT Presidential.

Tim - Site Editor - from 2022

MI EnergyCore Window Costs

Our Texas home has 29 windows that still has their original aluminum windows. We have been collecting bids and this is what we have:

MI EnergyCore Cost: $19,510

Window World 4000 Cost: $14,585

Burris Tectview AC Cost: $19,325

Pella 250 Series Cost: $42,480

Window Universe Revere Berkshire Elite Cost: $18,385

Simonton 6200 Cost: $21,860

Hey Dane, thanks for the prompt reply! We decided to go with the Quantum with the Serenity glass. The company, Window Guys of the Hill Country, agreed to do the job for $13,000.
