Elevate Windows vs NT
The NT Presidential look great in person but I don't want to over-improve the house and bust the budget. ( NT Windows Reviews )
Any thoughts on Elevate? I see a lot of builders in Texas using this window so that tells me it is builder grade with a not-so-great warranty.

John, I don't know much about Elevate -- I have heard them mentioned before. When I googled them, I wasn't loving what came up -- apparently we did a page on them but I thought the homeowner was talking about Marvin Elevate series :) My bad...
My gut (and the little I see online) tells me you should pass on this and go with a tried and true window manufacturer.

Elevate Windows Reviews San Antonio Texas
Hi Dane, our builder wants to use Elevate for our new custom build home in San Antonio TX. Reading the reviews I am hesitant to use this company. My builder says he is going to use his own installer and used this company products on another home he recently built and he likes the quality and found no issues. Most reviews are about customer service after the installation but not specific to the quality of their products.
What do you recommend? Thank you.

Lalitha, Marvin Elevate windows have quite a good reputation as a high quality product. I personally would not hesitate to use these in my own home. But Marvin is a big enough company and sells enough windows that you are going to have issues/complaints posted online. (Survey 1000 Mercedes owner and you will surely see your share of gripes…the company still makes a quality automobile.)
I tend to agree that the issues would come mainly from installation errors so make sure that you due your due diligence on the builder’s installer. I would want to see their online reviews to make sure they have a good to great reputation. I would also be sure that the installer has plenty of experience installing this particular window in the past — or Marvin windows in general.
That’s my best advice.

Hi Dane, these windows in question are not made by Marvin. They are made by Elevate located at Gran Prairie, TX. I have read comments that are not great about this little know company and I think they are misleading ppl by using Elevate in the name of the company.

I looked them up and the company gets poor reviews. I would not put those in my home under any circumstances.

Elevate Windows Prices
Hello Dane, we are looking to replace 20 windows in our home. In the past we have used Eco-View Windows for our 16 replacement "units" and they put in Provia. I called them again and now ecoview are offering NT Executive series for 16K. We have quite a a couple tempered windows and semi-circle shapes. I also meet a general contractor who quotes 11K but will use Elevate windows.
Please suggest if elevate is better than N and if NT is priced out appropriately. Thank You and Best Regards.

Nilesh, I have never heard of Elevate. I did check a source of mine who installs in Texas and they said they wouldn't recommend them.
The NT Executive windows is a good vinyl option, but $16K for 20 windows does give me pause. If this were my project, I would snag a couple more bids to make sure I wasn't being taken for a price gauge. I would get a bid from a Sunrise dealer, a Zen dealer, and a Don Young dealer. Then I'd decide. More on Don Young Windows reviews.
