JKR sells the Energy Pro vinyl window series, which I’ve never heard of and is not listed on the NFRC website. Nor do they list any performance data on their website. I took a look at the Energy Pro online - it definitely doesn’t look like a top tier offering - I’m going to say it’s a middling vinyl window at best (but because they don’t list any energy efficiency data, I’m unable to give a real review on the Energy Pro series.
Locations: JKR has two showroom locations; one in Saint George and another in Draper, Utah. The company currently has these two branches (that service most of Utah from what I know), as well as branches in Idaho, Montana, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, and Washington state. They have been growing quite rapidly from what I can tell.
"JKR gets pretty good online reviews. We aggregated JKR Windows reviews from a number of online sites. The company gets a 4.4 out of 5 stars, which is quite a solid score."
JKR Window Warranty
JKR seems to offer a pretty good warranty, which is a limited lifetime warranty on the window frame, sash and components to be free of defects for the life of the buyer. As well, it includes a 5 year labor or installation provision. Finally, the JKR warranty is transferrable to another owner (but I was unable to suss out the details here). A number of exclusions apply to this warranty - as they all do. Make sure you read the warranty in full prior to purchase as terms, provisions, and exclusions are often changing.

JKR vs Champion

Jocelyn, thanks for the question. in truth, I don’t think the Champion is actually based in Utah. I know they have a presence there though and that would probably be the option that I would recommend over JKR. However, it really depends on the overall ratings / reviews of the people who are doing the installation itself.
From the perspective of the windows though, Champion I think it’s gonna be the better overall option. Happy to take a look at the specific bids you have, and give you my opinion on what is the best option for you once you collect them.

Hi Dane, you had asked me to give you a progress report on our JKR windows and I thought I would do that right now since you were so helpful in the process. It’s been two years, and the windows have really held up well. No complaints. I felt like the installation team did a great job, there were no real issues. The windows look good, they don’t seem to be the fanciest option out there, but that wasn’t what I needed.
I felt like maybe they were a little bit more expensive than they should’ve been, but all in all, I have no complaints. I guess I’d probably give them 4 1/2 stars at a five and that half a point would just be because I felt like, maybe they were a little bit too expensive maybe $50-$75 per window too much. Thanks again for all of your help. I don’t think that you actually recommended JKR, but for the timeline in my home it just seems to make the most sense. Thanks Dane

JKR Window Complaints
My JKR windows are not holding up well. In fact, I’m kind of pissed about it. The guy who came to my house and sold me on them said that they were some of the best vinyl windows in the state. I don’t see how this could be true given the fact that we have already had problems with some of the balances and I feel like there’s already moisture forming between a few of the panes.
Who knows, maybe I just got a bad batch. But I’m still upset, and when I call the guy up, he takes forever to get back to me. He’s supposed to come out next week and take a look. Is there anything I can do to remedy this situation?

Tony, I think the best course of action is to document what’s going on with the windows. They should have given you a copy of the window warranty so you should have this in your records and you can see what is covered and what isn't. Certainly, moisture between the window panes should be covered and any balance issues should be covered for the lifetime of the window(s).
I’m not familiar with the specific warranty details for JKR, but I would be shocked if they didn’t cover these fixes. Please let me know how it goes next week. If you don’t get satisfaction, I’m happy to post your complaint for other consumers to see.

JKR Window Ratings
We recently got a bid from JK R and I was wondering if you could explain to me a little bit more about the windows they sell. As a point of reference, we have 18 windows that really need to be replaced - they are in really bad condition. JKR window prices ended up being $14,700, but I was a little bit confused about which window they were actually installing. Can you give me a little insight? Thank you so much and I really appreciate this website and your jkr windows reviews, it helps me to make sense of what I feel is a very confusing industry.

Craig, thank you for the kind words about our site and for checking out our JKR windows reviews. We do our best to try to help homeowners like yourself make the best choices for their long-term home investments. Having said that, I feel like I might fail in my answer. JKR has just come on my radar in the last six months and I haven’t heard too much in terms of the quality of their windows. But I will say this, I’m rather certain they don’t sell a top tier vinyl window series.
My notion is that like hundreds of other manufacturers that make their own vinyl windows, JKR probably sells a pretty much mid range vinyl window. But without seeing the energy efficiency numbers, I can’t be sure of the overall quality. I have been looking online and elsewhere for this data, but so far, I’ve been unable to track down any performance data numbers.
For instance, JKR does not seem to be listed on the NFRC website, Which post performance data from nearly 1200 manufacturers. My advice to you is to keep the price quote from JKR and then to go out until collect a few more bids. Once you’ve done that, shoot me an email with a summary of everything you have and let’s go from there. In the meantime, I will see if I can scratch together a little more information on the JKR product line.

Installation Issues
I will say this -- I thought the window was nice looking. It took about two months for the order to arrive but it was during COVID so I can't really fault the company for this. The sales guy wasn't very communicative through the process, which was frustrating. There were some installation issues, but all in all they did a good job. I think we paid $750 per window and part of me thinks this was too much for what we got. But I don't really know enough to say this for sure.
