Lawson Windows Reviews

Hi Dane. I had a question on Lawson. Their bid came in at $23,450 to replace 12 impact casement windows, three sliders, and two patio sliding doors. I believe it was on there mid series, so not their best, but also not their worst windows and doors either. The salesman was nice and he said it was a quality impact window. I was wondering what you thought. Thanks.

Evan, it’s actually a pretty darn good price quote for 15 impact windows and two impact sliding doors. These days, impact/windows are quite pricey, and I certainly think that this is a bid that you should consider. From what I know, Lawson makes a good product, that is comparable or better to both PGT and CWS windows, which are two of the bigger names in the impact window sphere.

My advice as always is to collect a few bids in order to compare how local companies are pricing out their products. We have a form on the site that can help you find some local window bids. From there you can set up bids and once you collect for five bids, you can send them my way and I’ll help you sort them out. We don’t have any real connection to any company so our job and our allegiance is to the end user. That's our commitment to you.

Lawson Windows vs PGT

We want to replace our aluminum windows with Lawson impact 7700 series and sliding doors with the 9200 series. How do Lawson compare with PGT windows and doors. We want to order immediately for installation before hurricane season? Thanks for your Lawson Windows Reviews.

Linda, while I don't know much about Lawson, my notion is that the PGT is the much better impact window and door manufacturer. The PGT winguard product is quite good. This is based on a couple of comments I've read from other contractors, but not from anything I know first hand.

PGT, Sunrise, CWS, Stanek, and Simonton are the hurricane/impact window manufacturers that I feel comfortable recommending.
