Mr Glass Windows Reviews 2026

Mr Glass Doors & Windows is a Miami based door and window manufacturer that has been in business since 2005. The company specializes in impact windows and doors that they sell to consumers through local window dealers. The company maintains four factories, including their main factory, Medley factory, Miami Lakes factory, and their powder coating factory. While the company is not nearly as well known as other Florida players such as Custom Window Systems or PGT Windows, Mr Glass is nonetheless has a decently strong presence in the Miami Dade county. Mr Glass Windows And Doors

What kinds of windows does Mr Glass Doors & Windows sells and install for their customer base? Very generally, the company installs oth residential and commercial windows and doors. For our purposes, we’re interested in the residential side of things. Here is a list of their residential offerings that are all impact resistant.

These include the following: MG 200 (single hung), MG 250 (SH window wall system), MG 300 (horizontal slider), MG 350 (SH, horizontal slider, and picture window), MG 400 (picture window), MG 450 (picture window), MG 600 (awning and casement window), MG 1000 (sliding glass door), MG 1100 (multi-panel sliding door), MG 1500 (sliding door), MG 3000 (swing door), and MG 4000 (pivot door).

Mr Glass Warranty Information

The Mr Glass warranty is pretty weak in my opinion. The frame carries a limited lifetime warranty. The finish warranty is 1 year on anodized, 5 years on 2604, and 10 years on 2605. All hardware, screens, and moving parts are warrantied for only 3 years from the date of purchase. Finally, the laminated glass is warrantied for 5 years for PVB, and 10 years for SGP.

Additionally, the Mr Glass warranty is transferrable once to a subsequent homeowner. However, the company must be notified (by the new owner) of the title transfer with 60 days of the sale. All in all, pretty weak warranty timelines when compared with other manufacturers.

Mr Glass Windows

Hi I have just read your article on PGT windows and taken a look at your Mr Glass Windows Reviews page. So, I am looking for a dealer to supply the windows I need, I have an installer. Most of the dealers I have contacted are quoting me that price just for supplying the window not for installing. Therefore, can you advise me who will supply the windows at a decent price. I live in the Miami metro area of Florida. Thanks for your advice.

Robert, my top picks for impact windows and doors (which go from best to good) include the Soft-Lite Barcelona, Soft-Lite Armor Impact Series, Sunrise Coastal Series, PGT WinGuard Series, Stanek UltraExtreme Series, CWS Windpact Series, Wincore 8800 windows, the Simonton Stormbreaker Series, and the Viwinco OceanView Series. While I have heard about Mr-Glass Doors & Windows, I don't know enough about them to recommend them or tell you to stay away.

Sliding Glass Door Project

Hello Dane, seeking advise on recommended SGD replacement in Jacksonville, Florida. Current sliders are 20 years old and aluminum. Window faces due north (no sun as door is under lanai). Comfortable in summer but radiate cold in winter when temps dip below 50 degrees.

Door opening is 96” H x 144” W, OXXO configuration. Currently considering: PGT 5470 from Mr Glass. I'm seeking well made door that is thermally warm (especially during winter), offer sound dampening, is reliable and will last 20 plus years. I appreciate receiving your recommendations. Thank you.

David, PGT is a very good brand and one worth pursuing. Additional impact window options include Custom Window Systems, Soft-Lite Barcelona Impact Series, ViWintech StormStrong, Mi Coastal Series, Stanek UltraExtreme Series, ES Windows, Wincore 8000 series, the Simonton Stormbreaker Series, CGI, and the Viwinco OceanView Series.

Additional patio door brands that I like (but may or may not be available in your area) ProVia doors, Soft-Lite Kingroyal, Okna Elegante, Polaris Ultraweld, the Ideal Victorian door, and the Vinylmax High Pointe door. Hopefully this is enough to get you started.

Mr Glass Windows Reviews

In 2025, we paid $12,000 thorough Mr Glass for seven full-size impact windows and one smaller transom window (tempered glass only). We chose the green, energy-efficient tint, and everything was hurricane impact-rated. The installation went smoothly, and the results were so good that both of our neighbors ended up hiring them after seeing ours. We were far more satisfied with Home Depot than we were with Florida Home Improvement, who previously handled our bathroom remodel—an experience that left us unwilling to use or recommend them again.

Also that year, we spent $22,000 (same company) on a hurricane impact-rated package that included a front entry door, French doors leading to the backyard, and the remaining seven windows (two single-hung and five double-hung). Everything is rated for storms up to Category 5.

Wished we could have done it all at the same time, but it was just too pricey. But now it's all done and we are feeling very satisfied that we will not have to deal with this for a very very long time!

Company Complaint

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend using Mr Glass as a rule of thumb for an installer. So I didn't use them , but a friend of ours had their windows installed by Mr Glass a few years ago. Their experience was a total nightmare. Nearly a year after they were installed, they still had leaking windows and significant drafts. They've been back and forth with the company pretty much that whole time and the issues have yet to be properly resolved.
