My Take On This Company: A Plus Windows sells Okna vs ProVia windows (both of which I love) and seems to get very solid reviews from what I can tell. Honestly, you should get a bid from these guys and check out their showroom to see their high end vinyl windows.

What They Sell

A Plus Windows sells and installs the Okna 500 DX, 700 DX, and 800 DX windows. The 500 DX is an excellent window, while the 700DX is the company’s casement and awning window styles. Lastly, the 800 DX is the top of the line window series and is perhaps my favorite vinyl window on the market. Additionally, the company sells and installs the ProVia Endure, another fantastic vinyl window. All in all, consumers can’t go wrong with any of the A Plus Windows lineup. Truly impressive.

Warranty Information

While A Plus Windows claims to offer a comprehensive warranty, they aren't very specific about the labor warranty that they provide customers. However, the product warranty comes from the manufacturer, and both Okna and ProVia offer great warranty terms and provisions. Okna 500 vs 800

Thank you! We got some quotes but I wasn't happy with the windows themselves, so just got an Okna quote today, and I liked the company (A Plus Windows) and their explanation of how they are installed. They suggested we cut down on the number of windows by eliminating transoms in favor of one big window instead, and quoted: 28 okna windows total

500 series, double pane (base window) - $38,810
Okna 800 window series, double pane (would be $100 more per window than the base one)
500 series, triple pane - $45610 ($200 more per window than the base one)
800 series, triple pain (would be $300 more per window) than the base one

We are leaning toward one of the bold 500 series ones, but included the others as reference points in case you think there is a reason to consider them. I really appreciate your reply. This has been a long arduous process and we are hoping to make a decision but with all of the guidance you gave would be happier knowing you think these are reasonable quotes, and if you have a suggestion on which one might be better for us of the two. Thanks!

Kim, Okna is probably my favorite brand on the market today. So any decision you make is a good one. I would base the decision of double pane vs triple pane on your location. triple pane for very cold climates, double pane is fine for most other climates. Upgrade to the 800 if your timeline in the home is more than 15 years, stick with the 500 series if your timeline is less. Those would be my guiding lights for this sitaution.
