BNT Impact Windows And Doors Introduction

BNT Impact Windows And Doors is based out of Pompano Beach, Florida and has been in business since 2007. The company sells and installs replacement windows and doors, although they specialize in hurricane impact windows and doors. BNT is not a manufacturer like ES Windows or Custom Window Systems, but is instead an installation company only. The company services all of South Florida. Generally, the company receives decent online reviews with a 4.2 rating on google local (543 reviews). Scroll down to view all of our BNT impact Windows and Doors reviews.

Overall Rating: BNT Impact Windows And Doors gets a 4.2 out of 5 stars based on 3 consumer reviews below.

My Take On This Company: While I like the brands they sell, I’m a bit circumspect on the overall online reviews of this company. Worth a bid? Sure. However, I certainly wouldn’t rely on this bid as my goto unless you’ve collected a few more. In Florida, there are some excellent installation companies to choose from.

What BNT Sells And Installs

BNT sells three brands of windows and doors, which includes CGI Windows, ES Windows, and PGT Windows And Doors. Interestingly, I can only find PGT listed on their website (however homeowners have confirmed that the company offers all three brands).

PGT is a well known brand that is headquartered in Florida and manufacturers both non impact windows, as well as impact windows and patio doors. For a full accounting of PGTs products, please refer to this page. Generally, PGT generates very good consumer reviews Their windows are well made, with low tolerances, and have a modern, sleek look to them. Of the three window brands list, PGT would be the one that I would opt for (assuming the price point is fair).

Warranty Information

Installation companies offer two different warranties (kind of). They are responsible for the labor warranty on the work (assuming they offer one, most do). BNT offers a two year labor warranty - meaning that if there are any manufacturing defects, they will cover the labor cost to install the windows again (either repair or replace then) for two years from the date of installation. FYI, this is the most common labor cost guarantee timeline within the window and door space. So, pretty standard.

The other warranty comes from the manufacturers themselves (so in this case, CGI, ES Windows, or PGT windows). However, BNT is tasked with assessing the extent of the product defect(s) and determining whether the windows can be repaired or must be completely replaced. For the warranty terms and provisions on over 75 brands, please refer to our replacement windows warranties page.

Simonton vs PGT

Dane what is the difference between Simonton and PGT? Is one a better window than the other? And then specifically with impact windows as we recently received a bid from BNT and they sell the Winguard from PGT and it was roughly 28% more than the Stormbreaker Plus series from another local company. Best, Wally.

Hi Wally, there are plenty of differences between Simonton and PGT as companies. Simonton is certainly the bigger of the two and they make lots of middle of the road vinyl windows. Their Prism Platinum (sometimes known as Reflections 5500 series) is a good vinyl window, along with the Impressions 9800 series. I would stick with those in terms of Simonton.

PGT makes better windows overall, but each company sells a number of different series: an entry level, mid range and premium. PGT's mid range and premium vinyl windows are considered quite good and I would certainly have any of these windows in my home. While I would give the nod to the PGT WinGuard over the Simonton Stormbreaker Plus window, they are both quality options in my opinion. Certainly the quality of the installation company is equally important.

The bottom line is this - I would get bids from both companies (also try Custom Window Systems if they have a dealer in your area). Feel free to send the bids my way when you collect them and I'm happy to give you my two cents on pricing, quality, etc.
